Heh, these giant bolts look like they're sitting on the steel, not bolted/connecting anything down. Must have thought it looked good, or am I mistaken?

Hey Gray Wolf,

With all the people blowing themselves up and their property [and property of others], why don't you in your busy, busy schedule try to come up with a Lil' Terp CO2 extractor for less than $63K. In most States that don't have that new Washington law pertaining to butane extraction the criminal penalties are going to get Draconian.

Actually we are looking at cheaper CO2 alternatives. We are in contact with SCFE CO2 users, are testing samples, and conversing with both Apeks and Eden Labs.

Besides the expensive capital investment involved, CO2 SCFE extraction is relatively slow, taking about 8 hours to achieve what butane will do in about 15 minutes.

Where it can shine, is how selective it can be with co solvents and the correct pressure and temperature. This isn't as important an attribute with cannabis, as it is the entourage effect of all its terpenes that is involved, not a specific component.

I see CO2 playing a larger part as the processes get more developed, but don't see it replacing butane, because of speed, cost per gram to process, and the high quality of butane extracts.

The mark is already set high by butane, because it can be purged, while retaining enough of the mono and sesquiterpenes, to produce a concentrate that tastes and smells like what it came from.

I have yet to taste a CO2 cannabis extract that rivaled BHO, but have received samples of other SCFE CO2 extracted oils that were incredibly pungent and focused. The orange oil extract that we received from JYNdustries is a perfect example, and if cannabis oil could be produced rivaling that clairity, it would be a winner.

More as things develop.........

Pretty thin flange for any kind of pressure requiring that many bolts..........

Depends on location, as it is actually legal for MMJ patients here.

Absolutely, and I'm jealous. I can grow/possess, but getting caught making it with solvent would be bad, even while federally legal in Canada. But you guys are allowed any in Ore, so solvent choice is preference to maker. Most any where else stateside either solvent would be equal jail time, but that's a guess.
