RedEyed Genetics- Phds

Great series of posts Dober.

Just know a HQ x THC-strain will have half the plants ALL THC. If a all thc HQ plant is what you want, kudos to you. Just be sure to let people who need CBD know that the chemotype of your Harlequin cross is THC-only.

The other half of the plants will be THC-CBD mixed chemotype. To identify this without expensive tests or chemicals, you have to know what to look for and there is a lot of bad info about CBD effects. Clear, less over-the-edge, more creeper, and longer are what you are looking for, not sleepy per se.

O believe me CrazyKoala im doin my CBD research. I am getting all my plants tested for CBD content.
Now that they are ready to clone, fan leaves will be sent out for pre-testing at Cannatest. Any that show a 1:1 or 2:1(preferred) CBD:THC ratio will be kept. Any phds that do not show these particular traits, will be donated to a patient.

No misinformation will be knowingly given to any of my patients. I have a really good friend battling a severely aggressive case of MS. CBDs seem to help his body. I have tried many different strains, and many different extracts, high CBDs seems to help him in multiple ways.
Ive tried at least 10 different high cbd strains myself, at least 5% or higher. None of which compare the numbing body feeling the Harlequin delivers. I call the body high confusing, only way i can really describe it. But I am not searching for the effect it has on me. Patients that like high cbd content LOVE this harlequin!!!!!!!

Im so glad RedEyed has a great heart. He has spent a lot of time and effort to hopefully bring the market some high CBDs in seed form. Even if they are thc rich, its still a killer cross.
He has takin his stud White Lotus and hit my Hq with it. My hopes are to find a 2:1 cbd rich girl. which has a more enjoyable smoke to the flower. my hq has a chocolate menthol hash flavor to the flower (i don't personally enjoy the hash flavor in my flowers). The bho, on the other hand, has a extremely floral taste. One of my all time favs.

Veg tests should be sent out in the next couple days. Results will be posted.

samples sent out for testing today. hope for results Friday or Monday.
ohhhhh soooo exciting!!

Will you pm me the details about where and how much it cost to send out for analysis. I might just do it myself too :)

Good Luck!

well they called with the results back today. will pick up the full evaluation when I can.
only #1 showed signs of CBDs. Showed a 2:1 ratio of thc:cbd. Not exactly what I was hoping for..... But #1 was my fav! we will c what SHE (I hope its a girl, dunno quite yet) has in store really soon. Tester room almost done, hopefully ready to flip on Monday.

Dang, much quicker turnaround than expected. sounds like the Harlequin 2:1 mother's genes pulled through on that one that tested positive for CBD.

Got my fingers crossed its a female. If not we still need males to take this line to the next level :)

Appreciate you taking the time and money to get these seedlings tested.

How can they effectively test veg leaves? Wouldn't it make sense and be more accurate to test dry bud... or even just flowers?

Hope they come out better than expected :p

What is being tested right now is the ratio of CBD:THC, these numbers stay the same throughout the grow. By testing during veg you are only looking for the ratio not what the plant may actually produce. The Harlequin mom is a 2:1 ratio, so while one may hit 10% CBD and 5% THC, another grower may get 12% CBD and 6% THC.

So instead of waiting till all plants have been sexed/grow out to test, most test them in veg as to find the gems right away.
