Hi

I have a small room with 650 watts in it supplied by a 400 watt hps and one 250 watt hps vert bare bulb, planing to supplement the 250 with some floros too. I want to use something to section off part of the room, not enclose it but make a reflective barrier to increase light density. What distance would you recomend that I put the barrier from the wall? Do you think this will be effective? If I have 8 plants, 4 around each bulb how much space should I keep inbetween them? For reasons out of my control the plants are being transplanted late and are pretty large. Dont have experience with any of the strains but with these genetics(lebxnorthindian, south africanx north indian and nepal) strech could get out of control should I flip a day or two after transplant which I know isnt ideal or try to trim them back a bit and wait 5-7 days?

Thanks,

ql

Keep the barrier 6-8 inches from the backs of the plants, doesn't matter where this is in relation to the wall. If your space becomes too hot increase the distance from plant to barrier.

Do you think this will be effective?
Absolutely. Reflection is a huge part of success in this hobby .

If I have 8 plants, 4 around each bulb how much space should I keep inbetween them?

Just keep 4-6" between each plant during veg and the stretch phase of flower. Once the plants have stopped stretching you can move them as close as possible without shading or touching each other.

I would transplant and flip two days after. Cutting them back will result in bushier growth. With the lights you are using horizontal space will be at a premium.

Hope that helps :tiphat:

Thanks a lot mr. D your post confirmed my thoughts, this is going to be real hard to pull off though they are really big already, but again I had no say in the matter. I might top one or two that is getting out of control, really should have a few hundred more watts.

peace,
