First pumpkin! Had a few fall off as the plants were started in the greenhouse, making their way out of there now... Apparently not a plant suited for greenhouse

Awesome sprinkle. Great shots. Im going to get some up close shots of the melons/squash soon.
Ive been busy canning beens and corn the last few weeks. Also bought several six packs of winter vegetables to replace finished rows. Left gate open to garden and chickens wiped them out. In the process of replanting new starts for fall/winter crop of purple cabbage/broccoli/cauliflower/spinach. Going to can a case of spinach. Had a nice triple row in till the chickens got in. Starting all over again. Chickens didnt do much damage on mature plants fortunately. My cabbage is forming nice heads for my fall sauerkraut project. starting carrot seedling rows. Heres a few pictures of material progress in the canning department. Canned beans. Also some canned broccoli which is surprisingly good.

Those beans look delicious! What canning seasonings do you use home made/store bought?
Never got to start a veggie garden this year. Theres a decent size lot next door but I think the owner would get mad if he caught me with a bob cat digging beds.
I have a photo of a orange plant i've been growing. Moved one outside and no fruits yet. This plant loves to get bent and trained. Zip ties help

I grew early girl and a few other varieties a few years back. Had the best luck with early girl, she even handled clay well.
I think she likes to be picked when the kernels are gold along with the white. I assume you already packaged it away.

No seasonings in my beans just canning salt. Have a case of sweet pickled beans from last year with pickling spices.
Corn was stagger planted so will be in corn for about another 3-4 weeks. My corn isnt sweet like last year. The fast maturing varieties im going to stay away from because of small ears and not to sweet. Silver pearl was good last year. Thanks for the compliment and sharing.

Hello all. Putted around town today. Ended up rumaging through a garage sale, they werent open though. Took a few photos of oranges and a pretty flower. Crossed off a good amount of chores that were waiting. Ran into an old friend and discussed our gardens and the importnace of microbes. Hope all is well.

In other news I'm moving in October from Colorado to Oregon.
everyone for posting...next time I'll have to take some photos of my herb too.
edit: forgot to add, I've been covering my basil with row cover at night and then have to remove it early morning so it doesn't rust from dampness then it goes back on when everything is dry. Got all the supplies for the mini-hoop house for free as well as the raised beds! The two new beds 255 inches by 3+ft wide are filled with 4/5ths of my compost from this summer! and premier peat and organic potting soil to smooth out the top. Basil was transplanted with endomycorhizzae. Fall beds have 4 diff types of radishes <3

Love the rabbit tomato! Lots of garden goodies this time of the year, hope everyone is having some spectacular harvests!
Harvest was early for me this year, and once I pulled all the chilli peppers my wife decided to stop watering!
So we lost what was left to ripen on the tomatoes an green bell peppers. As well as several melons.
The only up side is that I can get an early start on re working the beds for next year!

Stepped out of town for a few my friends. What nice colorful pictures to come home to. Thank you to all that help keep the thread colorful and bright.
Great looking salad fixings mallard. Always have grown the mixed salad greens here, so I am not familiar with the different varieties personally. Wild salad mix, Italian salad mix etc. Would like to try individual varieties grown separately in the future. This will find what performs best here as well as familiarize myself with separate varieties. Basically fun in the sun my friend.
Don- The Cleome is an awesome looking tall flower and I have grown it as well. It is the closest thing I have grown to marijuana and it amazes me the striking similarities in the leaf formation. Great pictures!

Does anyone know what the name of this pumpkin is? The seeds were gifted to me and no one seems to know the name. Anyway, It makes the best pumpkin pie Ive ever had and felt it must be shared along with other bounty from the garden.
