This one is a clone of ChocoTonic ''dark pheno''. My favorite that't I'm smoking all day long at now :joint:

It's the one I want to make S1 out of it, and to know how much inter-sexual traits play a role in this genotype I let the clone reaches 85 days of 12\12, stressing it with light, dry medium and temperatures.
I observed very few nanners sprouting, even with difficult, only in very late flowering.

This one is a good sign for me. Intersexual traits are present in the DNA and can be triggered out. However it seems to be a weak trait in this pheno considering other sisters and even other strains.
Going to see what happen in the next female offspring ;)

However I noticed the chocolope father reduced this trait as the original mom had the tendency to make some male flowers here and there. I still haven't found any male flower on any chocolope plant till now, and actually, it seems more weird than normal!!

You keep raising my appetite bro  And it's dinner time here!

ChocoTonic does stimulate appetite to me, yes. But I'm not a reliable case as every pot I smoke make me hungry

I'm really curious to have a cannbinoid profile chart on this strain... however I gotta share with you all some picture of the ongoing project of ChocoTonic ''Dark Pheno'' S1.

I have 13 female CT clones at the beginning of the flowering that are going to be pollinated by 2 reversed CT clones.
All are under a 400W hps, 2 clones per pot (6,5lt) in a 0,8 square meter tent.

There are a couple of other clones too btw...

I started to spray the two target clones the first day of flowering with colloidal silver simply made using a 12v generator and spraying it every day, at least a couple of times.

This method is very simple and I learned it here on ICMag, everyone can use it to preserve some good DNA under seed offspring.
The clones health is not affected by the spraying but the result is clear:

Can you see the fist pollen? Let's look better:

And this one is a CT clones of the same age, grown in the same conditions but not sprayed with CS

The timing should match perfectly! Very nice!!!

Tonight I took some pictures in the ''ChocoTonic S1 project'' tent.

Things are going just great. Seeds are forming while ripening the first ones and even with a temperature never lower than 28°C plants are healthy with nice flowers!

A seeded bud where you can notice some almost ripe seeds on the lower flowers and some whitish ones on the top, where flowers are younger.

Reversed female clones did their job. However I helped pollination breaking dried male flowers spreading the pollen all over the flowers.

picture.php

Life is forming. Little seeds that bring life in them. Some kind of emotion knowing this would not be happen without me.....and you!

picture.php

Btw the seeds are huge as the mom's ones

I think there is something romantic in seeing a cannabis seed forming... before protected by the calix and trichomes, than ''lulled'' and finally released when the time has came. I can see analogies, a lot of them, between such different form of life in nature, even with humans, and this make me smile!

Green vibs dudes!

I really hope you can find a great keeper! You'll love this strain, I'm sure :)
The last batch of seed sprouted were all vigorous and very similar. I can't wait to roll some fat ones to see if I can notice some difference in the smoke.

Keep me update with your progress if you can, any feedback, positive and negative, is very welcome to carry the best out of this strain!

I had some seeds in gift from a friend. This strain is called ''Alpine dwarf'' but it's not an autoflowering plant. It just grow little and start flowering earlier than other plants, this due to the acclimatization in a high and cold outdoor environment.

It's nothing special, small and poor resin, leafy, and I already see some nanners, so just today I moved it outdoor to finish the flowering. However I'm curious to taste it but I can't absolutely have pollen going all over my flowering tents.

I grown a great exodus cheese from GHS years ago, and I took a cut that lost that special flavor of the original mom.

The point is that I reversed a clone and pollinated this S1 strain to obtain an S2 offspring.
The why of this experiment is that in my thinking I was supposed to recover those lost flavors by making seeds using the same DNA.

Well, the experiment has failed at now. I sprouted only one seed just to try (because I can't keep any mom now) and breaking the resin it smells of almost nothing! It's kinda weird.

The other weird thing, most probably due to a recessive character came out in the DNA recombination, it's this kind of streaked leaves and flowers.

The interesting things are that it has a nice yield and a nice resin covering. Also it didn't show any noticeable lack of vigor. In the next months I'll sprout the remaining seeds and see if out of hundred of them I can find some decent smoke or it has been all wasted time.
