Military hardware used to kill American citizens oversees is flying out of Florida in search of marijuana.

Unmanned arial vehicles – or drones – are being flown out of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida to look for pot, the Orlando Sentinel reports Tuesday.

Drones accompanied police on about 100 missions in 2012, at a cost of $466 million over the past several years.

An analyst with the Center for International Policy said the drones are an “utter failure” at stopping illegal immigration in the Caribbean, so supporters have turned to drugs to justify the military program on U.S. Soil.

Tom Barry with the Center said “This is an entry point to breaking down barriers between the military and domestic law enforcement.”

Drone supporters point to five busts near the Dominican Republic in 2012 that netted about a ton of cannabis and two tons of cocaine.

U.S. Customs has spent $410 million on a ten-drone fleet and $55 million to use and and maintain them from 2006 to 2011.

Florida legislator Sen. Bill Nelson is pushing for even more federal pork for drones in Florida.

Thousands of drones could be surveilling Americans by the end of the decade, the Electronic Frontier Foundation reports.

Police around the nation have already begun using drones to target cannabis growing and sales, NORML reports.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is currently embroiled in a scandal over reportedly snooping on Americans to find drug crime, then covering up the origins of such investigations.

Now thats not to say that they can't be used, just not without a warrant from a JUDGE. So they would have to be looking for YOU not just sweeping around hoping to get lucky.

Also remember Florida is littered with military bases, bombing ranges and other assorted Government properties, so I don't think the law would apply in those areas.

So...It's hot as hell again on the Space Coast. Fuckin FPL prediciting a $450 bill. 3 ton house AC runs non stop from 12 noon to 7pm. But the Veg and Flower rooms are both holding a rock steady at 80, a testament to Mr.Slim.

.....I can remember some serious medicine called Gainsville Green from the mid to late 80s. We heard it was grown at the University in Gainsville. Anyone remember or heard of it?
