there's too many that piss me off but mainly the myriad of gangster shit/names with NONE said name in actual lineage, like samson is saying, or otherwise deceptive names..ive had clubs offer me their bagseed when they find out I do selective breeding with males in spare time and when I ask about the history they'll go well its ACTUUUALLY this strain from this seedbank, but we call it this.. all hype with dispensaries its a shame

Lots of bad strain names out there. (Almost all the tga strain names & alien genetics for example.)

Luckly there's plenty of great strain & seed co. names out there to contrat the bad ones.

Side note- hasselhoff would be an awesome name! I have some buddies who are breeding some personal stuff- one of them is hell bent on finding Albert walker- he says its the missing link in his chuck Norris og (as in- walker, Texas ranger)

Full disclosure- once I hip them to hasselhoff they might steal it and put together a hasselhoff og. I can hear it now: "yes! And there will be the baywatch pheno, and the knight rider pheno, and..."

Idk, its really a toss-up with me. I don't live in a MJ friendly area, so its easy for people to get taken as suckers just by telling them its its "White Diamond Fruit Loop Haze"...however, I don't really give a fuck about namebrand shit. No non-grower here you know is going to be psyched that you got BOG's limited Sour Bubble in an auction that you stayed up all night for haha, around here, it's either "Yo, I got some Sour Deez/ OG Kush/ Blue Dream!!"
I'd rather have someone tell me its some no-name fire than bullshit GSC and me getting excited for them finding a bagseed.

HOWEVER. I don't like calling shit Bagseed especially if I've refined it with breeding and natural selection through a few runs. I mite not know who the original parents are, but I did cross it with a few known males I have, so therefore, I deemed it MY crosses, MY strains, with its own names. No bullshit prefix or suffix. Literally just 'names' for each plant.
I name phenos that I make, I don't deem it a 'Strain' however. I just name the plant I use/used for identification purposes, with hopes of honing down and refining the things I like.

Purple AIDS, Dark Knight OG, Spermblaster, Wiz Khalifa OG, Galatic Beaver Dominator, baby shit, Whoopi Goldberg's Gums, the monkey balls strains, and just about anything with OG slapped in it these days sorry if I reposted any ill try to remember more but Purple AIDS is really huge in Africa which is kind of sardonic..

The name led me to believe they would be an aromatic tasty strain when in fact it's harsh and it's that harshness which overpowers any possible taste that it has. Would Bubba Kush have been as legendary if someone called it Bubblegum x OG? I think not.

Be honest about where your strains come from, but show pride in the uniqueness of what you're growing.

it is a f2 ray davis selection{tfd thai} male crossed on to a choclate thai female clone.If my mind serves correct.
