Great points guys, on both sides! In a perfect world Urav, I agree with your stance....but this world is far from perfect & the reality is that if/when mj is legalized it will certainly be regulated & controlled. For some this will be a win, for others a loss, just depends on ones perspective! Peace

thanx fellas for informing me i was wrong :tiphat:.

with that said bring it the fuck on ...
adapt and overcome...

this plant has helpd me survive when shits been fuckn grimey and bills where past due ... im all for med if the patients can grow there own :woohoo: i more than likely will not register ill let some1 close to me do it and b covered by them  ill let it play out for a couple years b4 jumpin n ,but no matter if we have a med law it makes it less taboo for the jury about a personal grow even if ur not regd so better chances for nullification in a trial if ur ever forced to deal with a bust.

then the walls come tumbling down..

i would love to have 8 -16 huge cali style 14'-16' tropical sattys out every season i would b a very happy man even if i couldnt make a dime off any of it :plant grow: i just love this plant

so ima yes vote and encouraging every1 i know for a yes and to make sure there regd and all info is correct and uptodate .. it would b nice if they would set money aside from there planned ad war to reserve busses to take people to pole it the major countys around the state u know from locations like nursing homes, retirement trailer parks/apt buildings/condos and the likes to make sure ppl get there to vote..
when u go to battle go all out and to win if not step the fuck off the battle field.

stay safe

...No matter what tag is put on it at the State level. It will still be a felony at the Federal level . I bet there are alot of people in the Med States dealing with that as we type.... How many of med people in the med states have had their lifes and families riped apart? I wonder if med users are able to get Life Insurance or covered by Workmens Comp if hurt on the job...

and the feds go after those pushing or extending the limits.

i bet many more med patients who depend upon cannabis in those states are grateful they no longer fear local leo or first responders.

shows your level of knowledge on severly disabled or sick people........we get no life insurance or its way too expensive and no worker comp protection......just like now.

...I just dont want it regulated like alcohol or pharmaceuticals...

but any medical law should have regulations in place to protect the end consumer if they are purchasing their meds.

what about cross contamination by someone making edibles/pills etc., that could be dangerous to some?

i dont want any buds that have PM / MOLD or been treated in flower w/systemic pesticide.

Look how long it has taken since the alcohol prohibition. What in the last 10-15 years a truely anybody can business model has been established for beer (some good and some not so much ) ...

not sure what you are saying.

I truely do want lawsa that benefits medical for the Sunshine State I just dont want the wrong ones.... I really do care about everyone, we all know cannabis should be legal, but until Federal Laws are changed all of the Medical users are still subject to Federal Laws and do get arrested\raided...

i fail to see this in your comments and do you even live here in fl?

You guys are reading from the bill that died in the Florida legislature. The language of the AMENDMENT that will be voted on as a Ballot Initiative (the one John Morgan is now behind) has not been finalized yet.

The ballot on the amendment will likely be completely different from the bills that were in the legislature this year, so it is important to keep submitting your input to the United for Care / PUFMM folks.

The Amendment better allow for outdoor backyard growing, and not just in greenhouses, either. Florida is the Sunshine State - patients better get to harness the power of all that natural light. Also, patients should be allowed to make concentrates, too. I'm also worried that they might make it extremely difficult to qualify as a patient, leaving thousands of FL patients without this as a treatment option for many of the maladies we know can be treated with cannabis.

In the second paragraph, I meant "language in the Amendment"**

I don't see how anything that would allow it for medical could be a bad thing overall even if the details require you to jump through a lot of hoops or be on a list to be legal. though it should be legal anyway, it isn't and we have some of the harshest laws against it so just about anything towards that end should be considered progress. And shouldn't people that really benefit from it as a medicine be allowed to use it even if the rest of us can't?

So now the push is on to collect petition signatures to get the constitutional amendment on the 2014 ballot. The amendment text leaves a lot of details of the proposed medical program up to the Department of Health; such as possession limits. The amendment does not allow personal cultivator, which is a major bummer for any FL patients who have long dreamed of growing 18' sativas in their back yard, legally. Does anyone have any thoughts on this amendment push or is anyone involved with the United for Care campaign on here?

jmo but while Cannabis remains a Schedule I controlled substance and federally illegal i see insurance companies not covering cannabis as medicine or the patient cost will be more than poor patients can afford and this is why i dont see how they can prevent one from growing their own meds.

i would love to be able to afford edibles or tinctures to control my spasms but at the ammt i need prices would need to not cost me over $75-$100 total per month and when smoking i go thru 3-4 oz a month. i just dont see prices falling that much so ill be left to do with out or grow my own.

its a start and not every scenario can be thought out and that is where changes can be made........just need to overcome the initial paranoia of avoiding a cali cluster fuck.

the way i see it is this. any step towards legalization is a right step. florida is a pretty huge state, there's not enough cops. if it becomes medical how will they ever arrest us all even if we are growing instead of buying from the state? the sheer numbers of people growing in the open now will be overwhelming. what are they gonna do? arrest us ALL?

Dude, the state is crawling with cops. And knowing florida, they'll build a prison especially for potheads and growers. They're fucking nazi's about that shit down here.

Medical ain't happening. Not by 2014 anyway.

i would hardly call it crawling. i drive everywhere i go as fast as i can get away with, smoke blunts in my car on the expressways, play my music loud as i need to enjoy it. only time i see cops is when they come up behind me at red lights or when they already have someone. i see the undercover cars too but. i would hardly say the state is crawling with cops. maybe you live in a smaller town? then yeah it is crawling with cops. but per capita where i'm at is not crawling with cops at all.

Stay safe. A buddy of mine got a year probation when he got caught smoking a joint in Kissimmee. A friend of his spent a few years in jail getting caught with a smallish commercial grow near Orlando. Speeding with weed in the car is risky. Doing anything remotely illegal with weed in the car is risky. The cops are just looking for a reason to pull you over.

I used to grow in Florida, but I never talked about it in real life and I never got high in public. It's too risky in a state like that. I don't have to worry about that in California.

I sure do hope to see Florida listed above in the State By State. We can always work to fix what ever they get wrong the first time a round.

I read somewhere that Crist wants to run for gov again and he supports mmj, but as long as Scott does things like sign legislation this year making owning a bong a felony, I just don't see anything positive happening soon.

The state is run a by a big money healthcare lobby supported/welfare fraud hoodlum who was simply protecting his own wallet and that of his cronies by signing that severely flawed bill. Until that reign of terror changes, nothing else will.
