I think this would entirely fall on your shoulders. Its kind of like asking the difference between Orange juice or Pineapple juice, which is better?
Going 12/12 from seed, will usually take longer, but autoflowers may get too big for your space, they aren't always small just because they finish early.

12/12 From seed. Did this with Grapefruit from female seeds, well I waited a week from germination. Plants were between 45 and 60cm high after 12/12 of 70-80 days when they were mature to chop. I know you have 47 inch's in height but you can train them low easily and all females were a great Sativa smoke.
If you look around there is a thread you can search all about growing from 12/12 from seed, and some great strain ideas, particular to the micro grower.

If you are a new grower and want to learn the ins & outs of this crazy hobby, I'd recommend going 12/12 from seed with a non-femmed strain.

i'll vouch for that.. started out like that, same way... but IMO i'll say Auto's if u want it easy as possible... no photoperiod, fast flowering cyclus, and a decent yield and potency. U wont learn as much tho(very important) and they are more expensive
