ISO . HASH

I recently got one of those g.micropens , and a lil bit o wax to get it going..

since i've been puffing like a chief  , wanted to find a way of making a product that will melt in the pen , give a nice tasty dab , and get me nice and high ... plus i dont want to spend on costly dispensary wax or equipment to make BHO ....

here's how i did it ..

1.. kief

2.. 91% ISO ALCOHOL

3.. mix the kief with the alcohol in a jar.. (i used 7g of 160 micron)

4.. after 15 minutes , in the sun , the unabsorbed kief will settle down at the bottom of the jar , leaving the oil and alcohol on top.

5.. pour the upper oil / alcohol liquid , through a coffe filter into a dish.

6.. place the dish under the sun to extract the alcohol from the liquid.

7.. once the alcohol is gone and there's no more liquid in the dish .. scrape the ISO.HASH while it has that oily oui gooui sticky icky feeling to it ..

8.. let the ISO.HASH air out for a while before dabbing.. this run yielded 2 grams of ISO.

9.. Enjoy

Looks awesome. :) How's the taste? I've never had iso oil made from kief.

I've gotten lighter colors before with a quick wash at cold temperatures. I'll freeze the bud or trim, freeze the 99% iso, then mix and shake for maybe 45 seconds before straining. I'll do a second iso extraction overnight to make lower quality oil for tinctures and edibles.

Try some shade for a lighter color, the UV rays will darken the oil fast. I use as little ISO as possible (When I ISO purge my BHO...) and a small toaster over set to 150* to cook the ISO off (Fan circulating vapor's, outside as well...), when there is only the little drops of murky water I then dry those using a blow-dryer. If im lazy ill just leave it in the oven a bit. I think direct sunlight has the most to do with darkening oil.
