Grape Romulan (Grapefruit x Romulan) Purple frosty Cali grown Cutting Edge Solutions

Happy August friends!

It's warm and sunny here in SoCal and I have some recently harvested beautiful Grape Romulan. This one of my consistent favorites to grow and smoke. The flavor and aroma is intense. Very fruity and citrusy. I believe it is available clone only. I picked this cut up around 2009. In the winter harvests she turns nearly all purple from top to bottom.

I use Rock Resinator with Cutting Edge Solutions base nutrients, Uncle John's Blend and finish with Sugaree. Always rock the Hortilux HPS bulbs. I mix in hydro rock and grodan rockwool cubes. Gonna try out Grow Stones for my next run

I grow in a Greentrees Hydroponics ebb & flow bucket system. Super happy with the vertical clearance the buckets give me and I have the new ones with recessed channels, so much cleaner! 2 Gallon buckets yield 2-6 oz average depending on genetics.

Happy growing!

Note the variation of the purpling from a summer harvest to a winter harvest. The temps are usually 20+ degrees lower ambient and in the room.

In the summer only maybe the top 30% turns purple.

This is from a winter harvest cola, almost solid purps!

CheddarProf, really nice grow! The only grape romulan that I've smoked has been from Harborside....I can at least understand that it would be one of your favorite strains especially because your samples look way better than the club samples that I've seen and smoked...Nice grow..I've always wanted to try Cutting Edge as well. Have you been using that line a while....How well do you think the base brings out the flavor...maybe compared to EJ, PBpro, and GO? Have you ever used the base without sugaree? I was just wondering your thoughts....Thanks and good growing!

Joesy, I didn't know there was even another cut of this. Mine is certainly the original. My boy picked up the mama in late 2007 from G, aka "Ape" long before his greenhouse was raided.

Epiphyte, she is one of my favorite cuts. The flavor, high, aroma and bag appeal are top shelf. Cutting Edge Solutions is the best nutrient line I have ever tried, just works so damn well. I have been growing for 13 years and along with my friends we have run every major line. It consistently comes in the fire results for the lowest price. We get the same results running Canna and it was like 1/3rd the price. No tweaking needed like I used to have to do with GH and Botanicare.. been sold on Cutting Edge since 2009. I ran the line a couple times but started using Sugaree and now SourDee right when I heard about them. It's going to just keep pushing flowers until you pull. You can easily run a plant 2 weeks extra and fresh oil along with amber.

(sorry couldn't make the pic show vertical)

Here she is... I assume Sativa dominant hybrid because it's slender sexy leaves and soaring high. Just a small mama I keep on deck.

It's not a high yielder so I only run it a couple times a year in small batches. Here is a shot with the Grape Romulan in flower. it's center front, the short section. It doesn't stretch much when you flip, compared to the Kosher Kush around it that stretch nearly double!

Mama has beautiful leaves.

So short you cant even see them in the front, center of this pic =]
