SSSC Old School Strains

I miss Beatrix Choice, Durban Thai Highflyer, Williams Wonder, and Victor Baarn.

Anyone have these in pure form? I have seen Master Thai work on a V. Baarn derivative, and various DTH crossed with C99, but nothing more original.

Someone on ICMAG must have straight IBL's from this original seed stock!

Maybe that's too much to ask for especially for the long-flowering sativas with Thai hermaphrodite complications.

I knew an old hippie that used to grow an early bird IBL outdoors. It wasn't the worlds greatest weed but it was definitely interesting, it had a very unique smell and high. it was floral and earthy very different from any new stuff.

I wish I had some right now, there's just something special about OD geurilla weed.

SickMeds has original WW.

I wonder, if any of those old strains were any good why are they not still around. Member here OldSSSCGuy said he passed off some of his seed collection to SickMeds so maybe we will see a few of them again someday.

Hay bruvvie...indoor she low odor, pinesol. The OD makes a unique floral lavender. Creepy effect, dense slow burning bud and a lasting high! Be very peaceful homies

Great shots and plants FBN! I grew up in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains and remember getting M10 and M17 I believe from some heads in the hills. Early -mid '90s. Great weed, "classic" pot.

Fwiw.

Thanks for sharing man!

Sounds like a real treasure. That early bird I got years ago also had a floral/lavender/earthy flavor too.

Pinesol sounds good too, some of the most memorable OD herb I have ever gotten was straight up pinesol, it makes me think the peeps in the mountains might have been running some real old genetics.

It's interesting to see hear how a strain's properties can vary indoor to out.

I smoked some pure afghan this morning and it was a nice trip back in time. :joint:

Williams Wonder IS NOT a SSSC creation, it's a Oregon creation and it's still going strong in clone and seed form, not the BS knock offs released by SSSC, but the real deal still grown by the same family who gave Nev his cut way back in the day. Nev didn't create much back then, he was just the first person to offer it to the masses.

Oledad, not to dispute your story that WW came og from Oregon but Nevil had nothing to do with SSSC and never sold WW. Back in the days before OG and CW went down the story round WW was that it was bred by a dutch non cannabis greenhouse consultant named Willem cant remember last name but it was published and indeed was some high end legit consultant.. this is why rez named his line "Willem's" wonder. Dont doubt at all that it came from oregon though as every single other indica from that time frame came from pnw

good info some truth in that but i could care less for the creation drama bad vibes. there are many nameless creator heros in the mj world, what's new... the people to make a strain more famous or popular get the most credit. who knows the name of people who worked on regional strains in developing parts of the world? very few mj smokers or growers.

I would cut off my left leg for a cutting of the old Williams wonder. I had it about 15 yrs ago, and had some major misfortunes happen with the cops. Long story short, when I asked gro bro for a cut again he informed me his mother died. Seriously bummed me out. But on the for real, I have a brand new hacksaw ready for my leg!!!!!!

Well here's my two cents.

I heard it was developed in the area of Williams and Wonder, 2 towns next to each other in Josephine County Oregon.
