Cheap Auto Drip System?

Hey guys,
I know this grow is tiny, but it's just a start. We plan on expanding after the first few harvests.
I am in the process of building a smaller grow box (2x2x6). I am going to be growing in coco coir for the first time. I have had several successful soil grows previously. For the first run, I am going to try out some DP Think Different Auto Fems, probably only 3 plants in a scrog setup as I am using a 135w UFO LED.

I've been trying to figure out a cheap and effective auto drip setup. I was poking around and it seems if I just get this guy: http://www.amazon.com/Raindrip-Container-Drip-Watering-R552DT/dp/B0006VOQS0/ref=pd_sim_lg_5

Plus a 132 GPH pump, rubbermaid reservoir, and timer- I should be good to go. Any thoughts?

That is similar to what i bought and use!
I found better options at online irrigation stores though.

More options to choose from and dripper rates.

That is what i used, irrigation kit ($20), rubbermaid tote ($8), 150GPH pump ($25)
A few hours to put it all together and you are good to grow!

I did well for a while (always temped to go back) gravity feeding through a timed waterer like the DIG 9001EZ or the Raindip Electronic Analog timer. Definitely one of the battery operated ones with the two knobs (how long you want to water for and how often). I found these to be very flexible and reliable.

So I had an elevated reservoir with a hole towards the bottom, a little 1/2 tubing to the timer, then 1/2" tubing down to the plants and looped, and off of that loop, 1/4" tubes poked into the 1/2" tubing leading to stake drippers in my pots.....

You have to account for runoff somehow...I minimized it and had my plants in containers that held runoff. As long as you control salt buildup and don't TOTALLY water too much, it turned out fine....

I found some really great HDPE trays that are actually made for rabbit huts called Dura Trays(http://www.martinscages.com/products/supplies/pans.htm). I can get one in the exact size for my grow box. I'm going to rest my plants on top of that and drill some holes in the corner. Below the drainage holes, I am going to place a funnel to collect the run off and deposit it into my Rubbermaid container.

Is it necessary to keep the stone bubbling 24/7 or can it just run with the drip system? I think I know the answer.....
