The old "everything I post is made up" signature trick.

C

Carlos Danger

You know what I mean, right? There are lots of people here on the ic with signature messages like "all photos I post have been found online. Everything I post is fiction" or "nothing posted by this account is true" or the numberless variations. Why bother? There's absolutely no legal weight to posting it. It won't deter LEO, and it's not like it's some secret loophole that will get you off the hook with a judge, "Officer, you had no right to investigate this man. He clearly said on this grow site that all his posts were fictitious. Case dismissed!" Why bother with a charade that offers zero obfuscation or legal cover?

My paralegal wife makes fun of those signatures all the time. It's true, they will actually do NOTHING for you whatsoever in terms of dealing with authorities... but I suppose it might keep a handful of trollish idiots away though.

yeah I think its stupid. whether its a joke or a weak attempt at self preservation, eitherway its pretty pointless. doesn't bother me though.

I like signatures with funny quotes or something thought provoking. or grow diary ones are cool.
