Sharksbreath....

20 Days flowering today.....a Lumatek ballast stopped working so I had to supplement one side of the room with about 500 watts of halide light until I got a new one- maybe 7 days total. Budding is slower then other things I've done but starting to come around now. All healthy, not one issue or problem so far. PPM was at 1250 last time but I'll shoot for 1500 next fertilization. I mixed up some Azamax in my last watering just in case too.

Over 3 weeks since I visited the thread. Today is day 43 in flowering.....I figure I have another 3.5 weeks to go. Plants are doing well, with nice size tops forming even with the fimming. There is some variety within the strain- some taller plants, a few real short ones. Weight looks like it's going to be good- the buds are nicely dense and solid at this point. In 3 weeks, they'll be similar to some dense kushes I've done. Smell is getting stonger- which I can tell when the wife starts bitching about it and then starts lighting the smelly candles. I'd had ppm up to 1500 but starting alternating to 1000 ppm with an occasional enzyme flush.

A little over 2 weeks to go.......... smell is getting worse (or better depending on how u look at it). A few plants curiously have little to no resin on them. I'm thinking it's either a bad pheno or a 14 week pheno, either way it's just 2 of 24 plants.

About 10 days to go....I cut a bud and de-hydrated it for a few hours. It's a nice strong sativa high, mostly felt in the eyes and head. ONe pheno does not produce much resin- I've read 2 reports on this already and those plants are rather obvious.

Nice run gambler! I'm considering doing this in Coco soon, curious what you came out with in the end under 2x1000?

Can't specifically remember but it was around 3-3.5 lbs. Personally, looking back, I wouldn't do the strain again. There are so many BETTER strains around today. It was ok, don't get me wrong but here's 2 strains I would do way before the Sharksbreath:

Sweet Seeds "Green Poison"

Next Generation "Grape God"

Yeah that would be about midline for me, too. If I get at least .75g/w I'm "ok", not thrilled but I don't feel like I wasted my time. I've currently got some SD and Blue Rhino. They've been around for awhile but where I am at new genetics can be hard to come by. :/ I recently came across some Fem SB that I've got started, and I'm going to run just to get some variety. Man, the leaves on my SB are enormous! I don't think I have ever seen anything like them.
I was curious about the practical yield though, as it was always my understanding that Lambsbreth wasn't a great producer, even considering any sativa.

It's an average producer.....the buds can grow large but are not terrible dense. Maybe you'll be happier with the end product then I was......

I'm finding this strain a bitch to clone!! Tried both RW/Olivias?Clonex as well as Rapid Rooters/Rootech...... I get about 30%, as opposed to usually getting 100% with everything else I've tried. Did you every find this, by chance?

I never cloned any of mine since the quality wasn't high enough to keep around.....I think in the long run you'll find the same thing as I did.

My question to you is why clone anything before you know if it's worth cloning in the 1st place?

Good question! Well, so far I really like the growth characteristics, short, stout, strong enough to hold itself upright, little maintenance as far as trimming, pruning, fim, etc. If it turns out that I would like to keep it around for a little longer I would first and foremost have something ready to go and secondly I'd like to know if it's going to be a hassle to clone down the road. If it's only "ok" but a real bitch to clone, I will go through the extra (considerable, where I live) effort of trying to get something else.

Pretty good actually! The first go around is just finishing. It would have likely been done about a week or so but I had a pump malfunction near the beginning and I attribute the later finish to the stress. It looks really good, actually, and I am glad I have some clones waiting in the wings.
IDK if I got a bad batch of cloning gel/plugs or what. I tried to clone them before in Rapid Rooters and Rootech. Previously I had used Clonex and 1" RW soaked in Olivia's. That has always worked fine for me but I am trying to eliminate RW and heard so many good things about Rapid Rooters. I have since gone back to my old method and got 100%, no problem.
I have also tried to transplant popped seeds into the Rapid Rooters and they all died........I have always used Jiffy Pots to start seeds before and I think I'll go back to that.
I'll take some pics of the 2 SBs I still have going when I get ready to take them down.
Thanks for checking up!

Well, sometimes, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Here, that is not the case, lol.

It looks great growing, very little trimming/training to get nice squat structure with just a few good colas. Really zero larf, which was very surprising. Super easy to trim and hang to dry, nice fruity smell....but it's just not there. I have to wonder how strains like this get marketed and make it to resellers. All the clones I have vegged that are waiting in the wings are going in the trash. Time would be better served vegging something worth growing. Overall it was a wasted of cloning gel and RW cubes, but it was worth the risk! I have a super low tolerance so I thought maybe it was mild and would be ok but, as you said, it's just not worth it.

LOL............ sorry to hear, but fully expected. I think both our final comments were spot-on the same.

I'm growing some time tested strains this time.........Grape God (very strong, very good), N.L. #5 from British Columbia and SickMed's Williams Wonder. I'm done testing out strains for 3.5 months that turn out to be lousy!

Maybe turn it into hash?????? That's what I do with my poorer stuff.

Hmm yeah that's an idea. By the smell of it I swear I've grown this before under another name. Looked good all the way and then...sputter. lol. I've got some Blue Rhino that I've kept going the whole time so as to not have all my eggs in one proverbial basket. I actually found someone that wanted the clones I had taken to experiment with so, at least they didn't go to....waste? haha.
