Give it your own name imo it is your pheno. OG seems to get put in the name so it will sell.

Seriously? Jizz OG? Figured that would get some laughs, not censure. Got some thumbs up, so at least a few of you thought it was funny.

...and thanks for the assistance to those providing it in debunking the cut. I will run it, evaluate and (as I usually do) likely move on. I got seeds out my ears to go pheno hunting with.

What's contradictory, all I'm saying is,dont call it og if its not.. Everyone wants to add the og to the cut to give it a better selling point... That's how all the fake og cuts are brought out to the scene...
Definitely jizzz og is kind of funny, probably cause it will make u jizzz when you hit it.. Lol.. I hope what ever your cut is it turns out dank..
I just dislike receiving fake cuts because someone decides to get creative ... Case and point, what situation your currently experiencing..

Peace at you as well, EOS. If it's dank, I may twirl it again. If friends need a name, I'll say 'call it as you will'. Bogus cuts kinda suck unless their not bogus. I once (and only once) bought two from a traveling snake oil salesman, and it looks as if both were debunked. Like I said, I mainly pheno hunt from seed.

May I ask what exactly makes an og an og? I'm not sure exactly what legitimizes the og moniker. is there a check list of characteristics that =og or must it have at least one legit og parent? I am an og thread lurker who would like to be a little more informed. I recently grew out a headband cut that turned out to be misrepresented. I'm keeping her for now bc she is a big yielder and dank to boot, but it makes me second guess calling anything I have not personally grown from seed by a particular name. thanks

Ill let one of the more veteran growers answer this question for you, but this whole thread has the common trademark signs of the og strain... Jack, SG,smoketrees,and the rest of the people contributing have very good example of elite OG'z ..
Look at the structure, leaves, the flowers, aroma/ scent, flavor, leaf to bud ratio, potency, etc...
OG'z are unmistakable...
What did you expect of the head band?
Just for the record loompas headband (aka OG) and headband (aka diesel #1 aka day wrecker) are total different cuts..FYI

I was not really expecting anything, I received the cut from a friend who brought it and some others from a med state supposedly from a reliable source. I was just giving an example of a mislabeled cut I received. upon examining pics of other members headband plants, mine was obviously different. I definitely see the common bud and plant structure in the og's in this thread, since everything these days is a polyhybrid I just wasnt sure about what exactly made up a "true" og. thanks.
@ Everyonesmokes, Then do you consider all the og crosses that have been named like skywalker bty diablo ect. to not be og? Or that the breeder didn't have the right to call it og?

As far as skywalker, diablo, bty,etc. I believe it's been establish that they are relabel or s1's of actual og's.. So yes I would consider them og..
Any plant that has an og and a non og parent technically should be consider and og hybrid.. Whether it leans to the og side would be determined by its overal product and structure, in this respect calling it an OG hybrid which leans to the og side..good example of an og hybrid is the white fire og, I have a cut that puts out very nice og leaning nugs with a fire og taste .. IMO some og hybrids can be even better that some Ogeez..
