So yeah... I tried the pico pvc drip method thread... after 250$ I'm done! Dayyyyum.. those grommets are expensive..

No good... If i had fewer and larger plants I'de be fine... but 75 bonsai mums?

The pump spits out too much water ...even on the lowest setting.... and so many tubes... even if i spend lots of time, itll take me weeks to get just right, and then one little leak and its all over..

Does anybody know of a better way to water 75 bonsai mums at once... an EASY, CHEAP and SIMPLE method? Wick system perhaps? And any links to instructions for the hyroponically impaired?

Would hate to see such fine genetics go to waste..

thanks to all

I keep quite a few bonsai mothers as well. My way may not be the easiest ,but it is cheap. I just use 4 inch square pots with soil and hand water. Cheap but watering can suck. I find soil is easier on long term(and bonsai) mums. The T-5 fluros are awesome for moms as well, they seem to keep plants bushier than other fluros. Whatever you decide good luck with your collection!

With the rez and pump that you have, have you considered an ebb & flow system?
You could build your own table or get one for $50 or so.
3' x 3' with 4" pots would work.
I would suggest a good coco like bcuzz, with H3AD's formula. 6/9.
Flooding 2-4 x's a day.
As SoF said, T-5's would be good.
Good Luck.

You can run the hydroton in the 4" too. You'll just have to flood it a lot more often than the coco.

does anybody know if a wick system might work with soil?

I have done it before with decent results just by adding the water to the containers saucer and letting it wick up from the bottom. Tends to concentrate the root mass towards the bottom, but had no real issues.

maybe by bottom watering? put the containers in a tub and put the water in the tub, like in the pic, should also work with autowatering the tubs

I agree, I am impressed, California seems like a great place to find amazing genetics. Even with the seeds I grow it seems like the best is usually bred with Californian strains. You guys are miles ahead of Dutch and I think Cali is really the capitol of the Ganja world now.Anyway how is the grow going? Have you decided on a system for your mums? Hopefully you get it worked out, that collection must have taken some time to acquire!

I like to use ebb and flood trays, which is probably the cheapest thing for you, although blumats are pretty sweet!

blumats, I run a 4x8 with 50 2 gallon smart pot on blumats, I love it just fill the rez every couple of days. they got blumat jr. for those little mums.

 epic man - beautiful - thank you for the love of the plant - thank you.

No experience in this but if you want simplicity with results - blumats have an amazing reputation and would be very simple to incorporate into your current set up - apart from the res.

That is a crazy ass shelf tbh - idk how you do it - must be smoking some danks for all that patient precision.

Wicking seems messy - problem prone - and unreliable - to me.

You should get a veg tent man - cheap on amazon - you don't need anything special if you aren't flowering n the tent

Best of luck in your endeavors.
