Week 5 Update

Didn't make it in before lights on this week but here is a shot with the light on.

picture.php

The Vortex are all fading way too early. Definitely think the 3gals are too small for plants of this size. I have top-dressed again with compost, fed with the ACT twice and with PBP grow once.

The damage is done now will try to keep improving my mix and continue brainstorming on what size pots/tubs to use next time.

Now for a photo bomb

BT #2 - Looks to be the most mature in the room. Maybe an eight weeker? Smells pretty funky with a hint of artificial cherry.

BT #5 - Super sturdy plant not much staking needed on this one. Looks totally different from the #2. Not much frost or smell on her yet.

Vortex #4 - The tips on these leaves look burnt at first glance but when I had it out of the room I noticed they were almost purple. Strange...

Overall the Vortex smells great and all are very similar in fragrance but hard to describe at this point. Reminds me of really sweet hash and a little citrus mixed in

As always feel free to let me know what you think about my little garden and don't hesitate to offer any advice on my soil/container size issue.

they are sure looking like 5 gal {or more} plants would so; your feeding strategy must be making the best of your 3 gals

definitely "starting" to get interesting

Day 42 and things are still looking pretty good considering the N def. Probably won't break any records with yield but I never really strive for huge returns, just tasty and effective meds.

The BT #2 is looking frostier by the day and she will definitely be the first to come down in the room.

BT #5 is starting to chunk up like crazy!

The Vortex will probably all go 10-11 weeks from what I can tell at this point.

Going to get some transplanting done this week to prepare for next round. Probably only flower 5 next time.

3 in #10 pots and 2 in #7 is what I'm thinking for flower. Will throw 7 or 8 in 3gals this week and decide which ones to flower later. Definitely missing the taste of that funky Rx so one of those will have to be in a #10.

Thanks for the impromptu poem shockdee :thank you: make yourself comfortable

Welcome aboard batcave and yort your just in time for the fun part.

Day 56 - Getting closer to the end and I'm already dreading the trim. Plenty of sugar for hash experiments though. Always have to see the bright side in things.

BT #2 - Really funky smells of cherryish candy and something really pungent like model glue coming off of this girl. Would like to take her a little longer but she may be cut down this weekend. Will run again next round

Vortex #5 - found a single nanner on this girl earlier in the week. Pulled it immediately and have been checking for more stamen but haven't found any more as of now. The bud I found it on was right in front of the oscillating fan for a few weeks so it may have been a little stressed out.

Vortex #3 - The stretchy pheno is lookin pretty frosty.

Ordered some 7 gal smart pots so that is what I plan on flowering in next round.
Have a good weekend everyone :tiphat:

Sorry I kind of left this thread hanging guys. Had a crazy past few months but all is well and I'm back up and running.

Here are some shots of the best few phenos out of the batch.

B.T. #2 - The kushier leaning of the two bt phenos. Smells like glue and pine cleaner. Pretty uplifting buzz with a nice kushy aftertaste that lingers. Medium density but nice yield.

picture.php

Vortex #3 - This pheno is my favorite out of the Vortex that I've grown. Smells like funky cheese, rotten fruit. Nice high but can be pretty confusing if you smoke too much, will definitely make you look like a dumb stoner if you're not careful. Biggest yielder too

picture.php

Vortex #4 - Another nice plant that produced smaller/skinny buds but all were very dense and super frosty. Decent yield but a lot of smaller buds to trim. Smells much fruitier than the others very sweet.

picture.php

Vortex #5 - One more nice Vortex girl that I let go for about 75 days. Much more skunky smelling really reminds me of the Rx that I used to run (and will again in a few months) with that classic dank taste that lingers and lingers.

picture.php

I was pretty damn impressed with the Vortex some very nice smoke that was pretty damn consistent across all 5 females I had. The B.T.s were nice and the #5 yielded like crazy but didn't taste good in flower form... nectar anyone?

But the sad part is I had to get rid of all of these clones. At least I'm still doing my thing :plant grow:
