Nice to read you and ojd have got the G13HzA cut Nev selected out of many phenos back in the day. Its been a while since you posted the quote above so forgive me to reply a bit late but as they say better late then never...
You can thank nev for making and selecting these cuts but i feel like i am partely responsible for i have kept them alive and kicking for the last decade. Prior myself a guy called Bonk kept them goin since nev made them.

Very nice to hear yr friend still has the A5 goin. Ive been looking for her since weve lost her due to wrong labelling, pests and police busts in the late nineties. So if yr friend has obtained her prior 2001 its a good chance shes the real deal. It he has obtained her later then 2001 then never mind, shes probably something else.

The feeling is mutual, hehe.
Naah, not making any new hybrids atm. The ones dirk and i made are still being spread for free to growers with interest. Some give great feedback, some not at all...
And to be honest we havnt found this special stud yet that can give the C5 this extra dimension. Not to say that the offrpsing of the lines made were bad but i see it as downgrading the original so for me personally its not what im looking for anyway.
But i always keep an eye out for this special stud that will give the C5 a bit extra, you never know. Next line i will be looking in to is Kariba x MM. Maybe this will be the one im looking for...
But as you know im not a breeder, just a fun loving hobbyist
All in all these old hybrids are so lovely the way they are but i know how people crave for them, dilluted or not, many growers want them.

I completely understand the watering down issue mate. Need to find a special boy to improve on her.
Have you ever mated her with Nev's Haze out of interest?

I Used to be one of THE growers doing THE C5, HPH, A5 , and we Used to run à colombian haze aswell.
Yes THE a5 cut been with my buddy way before that, I quit growing THE Hazes in 2000 when i stoppen working in THE coffeeshop.

hey Sammy, what was the Durban that you had like?
I went to Colorado and found a Durban with a nice sweet hazey kind of flavor, maybe a little fruity. kind of reminded me of some bagseed plant I grew long ago that was better than anything ive seen to date.
it was better than the jack herer I had.
wish I knew what it was, I had thought it was a haze hybrid because it only needed 70-77 days, but now im thinking it could have been a pure Durban that finishes that fast.
who knows, a Durban haze cross might be pretty interesting.

The durban was a lovely cutting bro.
Small buds, spicy with flowery tones. Gave a great buzz, not to mind blowing but more trancy in high style. Went about 13 weeks flower.
Do kno if it was a durban land race crossed to either one of the haze daddys but i was always fond of this strain.
Smoked some durban poison in RSA myself o couple o times and found a very strong version in the cape town area. Amazing herb, sad i didnt bring seeds that were in the pack i smoked but it was early ninetees and i wasnt into seed grows back then.
Gonna get to the KarxMM soon bro.

wow, i just spent the morning reading most of this thread. Some very very nice sounding plants, many more than I was aware of. Problem is I ain't got access to anything and wouldn't even know where to start! I guess that's what ya get for being a solo pilot and moving about a lot! Feel free to take pity, I'm not without any useful attributes!

I'm in tents atm, I have two of those new-ish Gorilla's 1.5x1.5 - you can't em' over here yet (or couldn't a while back- not sure of that situation has changed), but they come highly recommended by me at least... with the height being almost 8ft it takes one of the main major drawbacks of tents out of the picture straight away.
I recently got Wilma Big 9pot's along with a couple Gavita 1k's. Love the Gavita'... can't imagine ever wanting for another light - the Wilma with pebs on straight canna nutes did well for me last time but I'm going to get rid of them in favour for hand watering and bags or cloth pots. Haven't got loads of space and I like to be able to get everything out of site if needs be. The wilma with the trays is hard to hide, it's a bit of a bugger to keep clean too later on when the girls get bigger tbh. They do the job though for sure and Im probably going to do one more with them...
The adjustable balast on the light is super cool... I like to mimic the time of day building up to full power!

thanks for the info,probably best not to keep any pics on the computer at any time! after i download any, i store to a storage device and delete them of the computer asap.never heard of any probs yet good luck.willyweed. 2x gavita in a 150x150x240 sounds like some great fun ,how do you keep the temps down? especially in this heat!
I haven't really had any problems until this last heat wave where I actually had some seedlings fail on me and my room get very hot even with just fluros... likewise I've only just kept humidity under control last winter so ive closed things down for a couple of weeks, done some painting and have bought a delohghi 13,000-BTU air con unit. hopefully I can keep the room in ideal conditions for all the tents... I think I'll be pretty set then once/if I can dial it in!
