what tent size?

im soon to be switchin to vert but i need some opinions on what size tent 1200w would be best. a 4x4 giving about 75 watts per sq ft which is my first choice but im thinking maybe a 5x5 with 50 watts per sq.ft but more space for airflow and to avoid crowding?

if you used a 4 by 4 tent with 1200w you will end up having a 3 foot circumference any way might be a bit tight unless you can keep up with the increased temps/humidity/co2/feeding for it to not be a limiting factor.With the 5 by 5 you end up with the 4 foot circumfernce (22inch mark)penetration which is good for the 600's and your environment,remenber your plants take up space to.

Hello Toka ... I grew in a 4x4 tent with 1000w for yrs... the first thing i found out is it gets hot in there ... & i wasn't prepared for that...
As purple turtle stated... temps/humidity... proper air flow are your friends

Watering a vert set up in a tent can be a bitch. Automate your watering, it will be a lot better IMO.

hey dreaded, i also grew a couple times in a 4x4 with a 1kw air cooled but i understand that the bulbs run cooler when they're hung vertical but ive never tested how mch cooler. think i might grab a 5x5 as 50 watts is still optimal plus the extra airflow.
