99¢ store's seem to have tall bamboo all the time around these parts..
6 x 7' sticks for a buck. .

Might check it out if ya have them around. ..

Man that looks ta be one full room ya got...

Stank dank....
Nice.....

Damn I looked at some other places and could only find 6'. I'll have to check out the 99 store. Didn't think about that one. Thanks for the advice. Ya it's fuller then I thought it would be haha.

Week 3 Flower

I'm telling these lady's are straight unruly as hell. They keep growing towards the light so hard haha. I keep on raising the string between the poles periodically which pulls them back a littler further. So far nug production seems pretty darn good. The back Cherry Pie plant got a little yellow since it was closest to the light as I had it off centered after working in the tent(DOH!). Fortunately it still seems to be flowering pretty well

I just fed them the "Flower mix" tea which was High P guano /Peruvian guano, EWC, molasses and kelp. Here is how they look so far.

I have an experimental plant outside right now that is in a 3gal coco hempy. I've never tried straight hydro before but it seems to be going really well. I'm using H3ads coco formula with CES(6ml micro/9ml bloom) except I add 1ml silica blast to that formula and it comes out to 5.8-5.9 ph every time. I'm considering trying coco hempy for the next vertical run.

Week 4 Flower

So far so good. Although my doughnut management has been fairly sloppy it still seems to be doing well. I can't wait for the next vertical to see what happens if I train better!

Just been giving them water, and guano tea in LC's soilless mix. I will however admit a few days ago I gave them a few cups of H3ads formula for a slight boost hehehe.

Speaking of H3ads formula I'm probably going to try out 4-6 3gal coco hempy's for the next vertical quest just to see what happens. My experiment outside is very promising so that's basically the plan.

Here are some lady pics for ya(4 weeks in)

how tall are them sexy ladies......? is stretch over? almost time to remove the fan leaves..

They are roughly 3ft:biggrin:. Ya stretch is over now they are just filling in! Hmmm ya I've read some of that defoliation thread and such. I'm still kind of on the fence about pulling leaves hahaha I guess I'm scared too do it.

Week 5 Flower

So the ladies are doing pretty damn well. The nugz are starting to pack on no doubt! Now I gotta water them every other day because they are just sucking up so much water. Damn these hot days. Still keeping pretty good temps though since I run the lights at night. Average lights on temp is 80-85F

My doughnut hole is getting a bit smaller this week as the weight of the buds are starting to cause the branches to lean towards the light a bit more. Unfortunately I realized a couple of the closest nugs got a slight burn:wallbash: Time to train some of them back a little bit. Oh well live and learn hehe. Enjoy the pics!

Week 6 Flower

Alright so far so good.

D3cryption I actually ended up taking your advice and started pulling some fan leaves to open up more light for the rest of the buds in the area. I was kind of scared to do it but it everything seems to be going well so right on.

So lately I've been thinking more about the fact I have to pull one plant out of the room to reach the rest for watering and such. It was very foolish of me not to design a more effect support system for this run. For the next run I'm either going to do steaks and twist ties or M
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]orlo's PVC scrog screen's. Those ideas seam very solid. That way I don't have to worry about the nugs falling over when I take the plant out.

Another thing I don't mind too much but have thought about improving is the fact I have to bend over to reach the back plants because I hand water. I came up with a very simple method:laughing: Just use a pvc pipe at the appropriate length to where the plant is and merely water through it. BAM no more having to to take the front plant out to water. No more bending over. Just aim and shoot.

The last picture is my coco hempy experiment outside. It's doing very well on H3ad's 6/9. As I said before but even more so now I am completely convinced I will run that exact style for my next vertical. I can't wait to see that baby in flower. It's in a 3 gal janitor bucket and the plant is 3ft wide 2.5ft tall with no training whatsoever It's definitely something I haven't experienced with any of my organic grows.

if you want you could build a manifold that comes out of the pump.. have it be one pipe that comes out the top of the pump and then use tee's and elbow's so you end up with 5 (or 6+) shutoff valves.. then have flexible tubing or pvc that goes to each individual plant...

then you can turn on/off a shutoff valve and water each plant separately or at the same time.. that way if only one or two plants need water, you open the valves to those plants and turn the pump on...

just a thought...whatever is easiest.. keep up the great work !!

GMax that sounds like a great idea. I'm gonna have to put that in my notes. The road to automation is a long drawn out one for me. Sometimes when I look at all the hoses, barbs, pipes, etc. I feel like :tumbleweed: but I think I'm starting to have some understanding (a lot simpler then I thought). Thanks for putting your 2cents in yo.

Okay so the below nug pron pics are from week 7 but on the scale of time we would be at week 8 about now. Unfortunately I started to spot some spider mite damage so I decided to pull them at at day 52. It sucks because I was intending to pull at day 56 or even 63 but I couldn't allow them to cause further damage. I thought all my intakes were covered but one of my intake vents was not covered with pantyhose this time. Stupid mistake right? Oh well we live and learn. I also got a touch of light burn as well. I'm going to implement stakes and ties next round in order to better avoid it.

IMG_0189.jpg

So on the upside I got some Blueberry x Haze clones for my second vertical run. I'm still kind of unsure what the difference between Blue Dream and Blueberry x Haze is if there is any. Maybe someone can chime in if they know the answer.

I have them in botanicare brick coco that I washed with 250ppm tap water. All I've been doing is giving them H3ads 6/9 at half strength for the last week(3/4.5). That also includes 1ml(6/9) or 1/2ml(3/4.5) of protekt to bring the pH to 5.8. So far so good.
Day 9 (2).jpg

After thoroughly cleaning my tent with bleach I took down my poorly installed net walls(lol) and replaced them with 6ft Bamboo poles that I crisscrossed along the walls. They are supported by merely sticking the ends between the tent walls and the tent frame. Thanks for that great Idea Alien Dawg!:thank you:. Although I didn't install them as you stated they work very well at keeping the walls from caving in. However I can totally see how it would be a good idea to follow your advice by using them as anchor points so I may cut them down to 4ft and tie them to the tent frames horizontally in order to achieve that extra bonus.
IMG_0195.jpg

I upgraded my grow method for this next round. I've mainly been an organic guy from the beginning messing with soil mixes, teas, soilless mixes, dry organic inputs, etc. However I'm starting to open up to to hydro and what not. I did some research on the forums. To cut to the chase I decided to go with coco and use H3ads 6/9 formula for ease and effectiveness. On top of that I also decided to go coco hempy style. This should be fun!
