Fresh Frozen Trim or Dryed? question...

Hi, pros and veterans

Read a few BH threads. Planning a run soon so reading up..

My question is: Is so frsh frozen trim is better than trim that dried ?

Because the wet trim trichomes are bigger, fatter, etc.
Versus dry trim that is dryed out and thus smaller trich's , and being smaller slip thru the screens like 120 0r 90 vs 74 right?

Also, does wet/dry have better flavor and color of final hash and less cholorphly making it brown- tan hash not green or lime colored BH etc.?

I make Bubble Hash outta fresh frozen trim, no green taste here. I also get hash colors from purple to red to orange to gold and even white :) if you are getting green hash you are not using good material or you are over stirring it, I usally do a 5 minute beat by hand with a paint mixer and then do a 2nd run with the paint mixer and electric dril for a min or two at low speed and then once again for the 3rd run, anything after the 3rd ruun has to much beat up material and this affects the taste of the hash. Hope that helps

Yay that helps, just philosphying I don't get green hash but what you said makes sense on over beating it...

The video I was watching on you tube, this guy in Washington St (makes a lot/ pro) was saying if he dried it 10-14 days he would get different results versus fresh. Sounded like Different colored results were effected by time drying trim... and strains I would guess.

Thanks for any tips and info. Maybe some good videos or links or threads to read up.

#Question: What is your guys defintion of Fresh Frozen Trim??

Just cut sugar leafs and buds put in the freezer. No drying time at all, right?
Also, do you use a tray to lay them out evenly or zip them up in a plastic bag?
How long does it takes to freeze a few hours overnight, right?

Thanks

drying the hash is all important and will effect everything.
mack.
Yes, good tip. I understand what you mean. And it can be very primitive drying to complex like Gauis exprementing with the drying room being freezing cold and whatnot.

From what I have gathered the ''primitive'' dryying process seems simple, like most guys scoop it, label the screen size, put it on baking sheets or cardboard and give it overnight or 12-24 hours.

Then more complex ways get fancy and after drying a bit; grate the semi-dryed hash with cheese graters or coffe grinder, right?

To break it up and allow for a even dry for all the surface areas and nooks and crannys.

However, also read that that breaks up the trichomes and does damage...

Im Looking to buy a good hand crank press, to make hash coins

Plant is chopped, trimmed and the trim is immediately frozen. No drying time. Like to freeze for a few days so it is frozen to the center. Peace GS
