Chemo

Chemo

Hey guys I finally got the Chemo cut in safe spot. The older guys around here just didnt want to part with a clone. They where pretty worried about who it would get to. Typical strain hoarding, they gave me barely living cuts with bugs! Anyway this is the real Chemo as far as I know it in Ontario, this is a hard hitting narcotic Indica. Let me know if you guys think its the UBC Chemo? I think it does that leaf curl on the tips you guys were talking about. C-ray may be right about the deficiency causing it, I think the Chemo is a heavy feeder. I have Chemo cuttings just rooted as well and will run some indoors someday soon, and I'll post some pictures up of them in bud.

i am not sure

the chemo i saw had more "skunky" serrated leaf structure, that only grew 3 blades?

So I swapped a bag of my WW for a back of buddies friend's UBC chemo
10 cuttings have been also been taken, 9 are heading to various friends(share the wealth)....No real room in my stable. Delivery in 3weeks apparently... He is getting the WW.

When my cuts come in I will take some pics..
The weed isn't half bad.....Almost looks like he chopped to early....or the bud structure is so tight and the calyx's so small that they just appear to be little balls of orange/red fur.

The density is what gets me....my WW Bag looked way bigger(moisture content was a bit lower tho), but UBC weighed spot on.. Ill take a pic if I remember....the buds are like rocks.

STONE is definately on the indica side.....Not a big fan of the taste tho...kinda reminds me of my old WWxNL#4...it is what i imagine turpentine tastes like..or mebbe chewing on pine needles..No High to this really...not a good idea to smoke at 3pm either...it is almost 5 and i feel like taking a weed nap.

Greenhouse White widow from the mid nineties....

Never got a chance to try williams wonder myself..either smoke or grow...

Still hoping to come across a DJ short blueberry from the 2000's to replace the one I lost...

I've come across some Chemo recently. One was from JordanOTI, big yield, skunky and sweet with a sedative body stone. The other was Generic Weed (Chemo & Gorilla Grape) from TCVG, better flavor and a solid wheelchair buzz. Highly Recommended.

Our Chemo is really sticky, but its the growth sounds different. Ours is a short internoded plant, it can get really bushy and loves to feed. One thing about the Chemo is the harsh smoke, it makes everyone cough . I sometimes wonder if our cut is even "Chemo" , but why would someone rename an already awesome cut as something else?! I still have yet to find any Indica that smokes as hard as this Chemo.

yours sounds just like what we used to have. it's not lime green or even close is it? the harsh/cough thing maybe a little... really thick smoke for sure with a hashy earthy indy kick.. ours was also a heavy feeder.. and super tough..bugs didn't like her either..sound like yours?
i'm over 60 just so you know & this was a mainstay for us during the 80's when living in the lower mainland. peace.bcblazer

Just thinking ubc chemo must be the oldest widely dispersed indoor canadian clone still kicking.. first ran across it in 91 and it was already legend around ubc at that point.

Chemo day 55 of flowering

Chemo day 55 of flowering

I had taken these picture of the Chemo cutting a while back, but got caught up in a war with some bugs over the winter(new clones with supermites!!) and forgot to post the pictures up! They where chopped early at about day 60(bugs!) and wasn't what it could have been at 75 days. I won the war eventually, and still have all my mothers.
Next up on my list is a big feminized breeding project with the all my keepers x Chemo. As long as the Chemo reverses okay, I should have lots of Chemo hybrids(and Chemo S1s) to tests out. I am quite excited about it. For now here are some shots of the Chemo anyway.

Thanks for the info, I am always trying to learn as much as I can about my strains I have(and some I dont have!).
Do you run your Chemo in hydro?
Also, do you(or anyone else?) know why the Mtl got attached to the name? Is UBC Chemo supposed to be different? My cutting I have seems pretty knockout/munchie inducing, definitely medicinal. Do you think UBC Chemo might be better, worse, or same as the Mtl Chemo. Mine has been known as just Chemo, and she was in Ontario by 1994.
