Your plants were budding and reverted back to Veg. That's the single leaves that you are seeing. It takes time depending on strain for the leaves to come back to regular shape. It's normal. Some strains can do that for a long time and some strains come back to regular leaves faster.

I am a super newbie at this, but the one on the left looks like it is revegging and the one on the right looks like a flowering male.

There reveging. Means there going from flowering back to vegetative stage. But with the days shortening probley soon will go back to flower. I can't put clones out til around June 1st by me. Sometimes it's better to wait then to put them out early unless you put supplemental lighting on them.

yes reveging ,they should be more vigorous the second time round ,do not worry the leaves will sort themselves out after a short while .good luck willyweed

The one on the right could be a female but has a big ole male ballsack hanging off it so I would either pick it off before it opens or cull it all together so the revegging female can be sensi.

Sungrown, will the plant produce regular buds or will it be all ratty and scraggly when it starts to flower again. When this happens, does it screw things up, or is it okay?
Agreed. It probley will have more leaves to trim off though. Also keep a good eye on the older flowers as they might start dieing off and causing mold and bud rot.

They're just a little confused right now...they'll be fine.
I've seen clones tossed outside in coco pots in mid August that do that and still yield 4oz+ with lots of tender loving care.

Ive already noticed some bud rot to some of the early flowers. I am thinking I should carefully remove them and discard. All you guys have done me a huge solid. Cannabis people are some of the best and nicest folks around. Thanks guys.

Def prune off any bud rot you have, just strip off everything below what looks good. And spray some mold preventative.
If you want to be sure about no mold or mildew eagle20 works great and is approved for food crops, but it is toxic and has a timeframe that is safe for use. For organic there are a lot of options but I will let some real organic guys give you tips for what they think you should use.

These two plants were put out late in August looking how yours are looking now. Both finished on time with good yields in coco pots. Here they are at about six weeks flower.
It's all about that TLC, man. Hang in there.
