Is this the start of a pistil??

you're looking in the right place! watch for a white filament to emerge. yellow ball emerges ... it's a male.

too early to tell it will either form female flower with a visible pistil or it will look like a ball on the end of a stick. either way you got time to weed out the males before the flowers open.

Doesn't look female. They all look a little different but they are always spear shaped, yours is more like a trident. Sometimes it will end up being a branch for some weird reason, but that's not a female part IMO

whoa kimosabe. that looks like a little tiny leaf to me. also is there a reason you're looking for flowers down on the stem instead of at the top of the plant?

This is a boy from seed he is still in veg I didn take any pix of the presex showing of the female didnt think I would need them just tossed her in flower a week ago bu this pic above is a boy showing sex 2 weeks in .. I'm pretty sure it's not a auto since I made the seeds from a cherry pie mom and a white widow dad lol.. But you are still way to early to tell by the way I just took that pic 5 min ago

what you wanna do is look at the nodes near the top to middle of the plant. if its a girl it will look like this with 2 little white hairs (pistils) sticking out.

if it's a boy it will look like the picture i posted before.
