Bud rot!!!! Now what?

So some of my friends have been coming across some bud rot due to rainy conditions in our area. My question is, can we salvage those buds and make BHO? Or is it a total loss? As far as the room goes, what else do we need to do to get the room ready for the next round other than bleaching the room? Are bud rot spores in there like lets say powder mildew since they've got it already? Just a little worried here. Hopefully some of y'all can help a brother out!

cleaning the room is always recomended in any case, with bleach or liquid oxygen, even when you grow cleaning the floor once a week is a good idea. and yes you can make bho with buds rot even water hash i think but dont smoke or eat the buds thats all.

Yes clean the room better than you would clean your kitchen after slaughtering animals in it!

And bho should be safe, but not any kind of Kief or water hash!

water hash will not be safe to smoke ? i thought with the water and the bags it will filter the mould or precipitate it in water ?

It will precipitate it in water, that is why you don't want to do that.

The spores are teeny tiny and will without a doubt get mixed in with the final kief. You could bho that kief to make it safe...I have not had a mold test done on bho that was made with moldy product so someone else who has will have to verify my correctness but seems very logical.

Thanks guys!! So what's the chances of getting it again this upcoming round? My boys ended up getting dehumidifiers and added more oscillating fans for more air flow. Should the dueys be on 24/7 or just at night?

dehueys at night mostly, 24/7 wont hurt anything but the electric bill. set the dehueys to 40%, and do yourself a favor and hook a hose to them and run the hose outside, tyhen no bucket to empty.

chances of getting it again depend on how well the room, tables and / or pots are cleaned and how clean the plants are. some molds are systemic, meaning in the plant.

If you aren't all organic then I suggest using eagle20 for mold prevention. it works and works well.

Hmm never knew eagle20 could be used for bud rot as well. I used it for PM a couple years ago and that worked wonderfully! Just a little paranoid about the bud rot because this is the first time it's happened! Thanks for the hose tip Sun!

no, sorry I was wrong on that, I have just never had bud rot...thought that was the reason before.
