Hi guys

This is my second grow, 1st in coco. I have just cropped my 7 plants, 1 purple Morrocan, 1 Lemon Kush, 1 Skunk, 1 bubblegummer and 3 chronic. All seeds were feminised and all showed signs of flower early on after a 20day veg period.

I've noticed that in the purple morrocan there was a few seeds, 11 to be exact. None of the other plants have them in and the plants as far as I'm aware only went through LST training.

I've done some research and apparently some strains can self pollinate as a last ditch tempt to pass on its genetics. I've also found out that they could be female only seeds.

Anyone anything about this? Is it possible? or did I just miss something?

Yes that is correct, some strains will hermi towards the end of flowering in a last ditch attempt at self pollination. Most won't do this, but it is always something to look out for, especially if you are wanting to flower them right to the end with more amber trichs than milky.

The seeds you got out of her will most likely herm toward the end of flowering just like she did, however if her pollen got onto any of your other girls there is a good chance the seeds that they produce are going to be feminized. I did flower late. 50/50 on the tries. In total I flowered them all for 8 weeks but the morracan is a early sativa.
I probably left it a week to late but what's done is done. The bud that I've smoked so far has been OK. Its not that dry yet or had a cure so will only get better. The Morrocan is a really nice smoke so doesn't look like I've done much damage.

Right the only seeds I've found was in the Morrocan so it didn't pollinate any of the other plants. Also the morrocan is really strong and smashes you up so doesn't look like its effected the strength of the bud.

I think if I ever do a pure sativa again it might be a good idea to crop when the tries are white not orange. I already know that Sativa's are better for THC and indica's for CBO or CBD. At least I've learnt from my mistake and found something out that i still find amazing.

Self pollination, you brainy things. Lol

i had some superskunk i grew a good few times,and yes every now and then it would shoot a few nana's. put it down to some heat stressing ! if you see any, i would always pull them off.difficult to see when they grow around the back of the plants though! goodluck

It has been hot but I have my lights on at night so their night is our day. I was under the impression that its because I left it a bit long 50/50 on the white and orange tri's. With it being a pure sativa it self pollinated.

Anyway for anyone reading this the bud with seeds turned out to be my best and strongest bud. Purple Morrocan is a very nice strain for both taste and smell. Looks like the strength of the bud wasn't effected but defo something that needs to be noted down for future reference.
