its all relative.. my five yard bags are just seeing roots @ the dge of the 9' diameter. i dont know if mounds would have gotten them any bigger to this point. but going from here til harvest it would be nice to have unlimited root potential.

Things are going great here. The light dep is in and looks like it'll be a very good run. Most the plants in the full term are doing well, with the mounds and trenches just crushing the 400's. Never doing bags again. I'll be extending the vertical support on everything soon. The work never ends..but it's good for the soul. Be well, big plant people.

props once again people. This thread is amazing!

question:

Anyone around here growing any proper Sativa? I know the Norcal season can frost over quite suddenly, but I would just love to see some pure sativa crosses or, even better, some well bred pure sativa strains given this treatment. I do follow the Revival of the Ultimate Sativa Thread, but those monstrosities are mostly wild grown.

will follow here, rabidly.

Sats are head stash. Yes they can be given the proper treatment yet relegated to greenhouse finishes as they won't finish until November.

Whats the consensus on the definition of a big plant?

Im thinking above 5 p's would qualify for a big plant, outside.

This thread needs some more big plants,

After i typed that post, i thought it may have been perceived as a knock on the small and medium ones being shared here, which is isnt at all. Trust me I have the upmost respect for the 2-3 pound plant, especially when theres a bunch and they all look amazing..but i just was hoping some of our big plant brothers would come out from the shadows (even though its a hot one) and share with us as always

I wasnt knocking your posts purpur, i actually enjoy your posts and threads and pics quite a bit indeed...

no 20 lbers for me....a dam good number of some that should average 4, perhaps 5, though

last year my biggest was 8.5, of a cross i made of og and ssh, although that number is somewhat small too compared to some of the ones we saw in 2012 on this thread..im going to try and get a camera before harvest and get at least one or two pics on here this season

anything over 5 is a "large plant"....but 2-3 even 1lb are nice sized and worthly of posting IMO....

i would also love to see some more monsters i know they are out there...il try to snag some more pics next week of the various gardens up here.

Plant size is all relative IMO

My moon shots were shitty, so here are a few morning pics just to keep the thread going

Blue Dreams, about 9 feet or so now
bd721.jpg

Green Crack Cola, about 7x7
gcc721.jpg

Hindu Skunks, about 6x6
hs721.jpg

Squatters, 8x8 and 10x8 respectively

Lots of other peoples plants are bigger than this, but I am stoked! Hope you enjoy!

I took this pic in the garden a couple hours ago with this thread in mind. These are sour pineapple, the ladder is 8 ft tall. The one behind the ladder is the biggest, I just don't have a good shot of it. I am still hoping for 2-3 pounds per plant ;)

Couple of weeks since the last pics. It has been wetter than usual, the girls are doing fine with very little help. So far it has been a very easy year.

If you look closely about half way up the plant a bamboo frame can be seen. All of the bottom branches are supported on this. That frame is five foot tall.

Here's a shot of the gulch looking down. These are the biggest of the six. The two bottom plants have ten feet. Again the frame is built to five feet.

The smaller of the three above have just begun to flower.

This plant leans toward her Thai father.

The other five? Nowhere near flowers. They look like they're pulling toward the Bloodweed mom. These girls will go ten weeks in flower and be stage harvested. They should be done by November.

Here are the two smaller ones toward the top of the gulch.

Now if the weather gods would just turn off the rain and turn on the sun all would be good.

Looking excellent everyone.

Here is cherry pie and twist og light dep that just went into jars. The Bay 11 behind her is growing to be very large and responding well to me training her off the deck by chopping select branches.

We will get some full plant shots of some of the larger ones here later today.

FREE KANGATIVA!!!
