I was thinking that would be my bet to fill my reservoir which is up stairs (my bathroom is down stairs) about 50ft away.

Ive went to Wal-Mart and lowes and couldn't find that piece... and all the workers had no idea what I was talking about.

Im sure someones had to of tried them out. Do they work good?
I was thinking to drain it I would just attached a spout on my reservoir. Then use that to drain it out a window down stairs. using gravity.

I was also thinking I should use the waste nutrients for my plants outside. Does anyone do that?

They have like 100 different ones and I couldn't find 1. lol. I guess ill search it down tomorrow. It should run water all the way upstairs right?

I fill the bath tub and pump the water to my res with 3/4 tubing. work like a charm for me. On changed out I pump my res back to the tub for drainage. happy growing

I use this. Save so much leg work and works well for me but i think it all comes down to your tap shape and size.

Diy stores should know what your taking about if you ask them

If your using a hose for anything you plan to eat or smoke, please use a hose that is regulated to produce safe drinking water. Your average garden hoses will leach plasticizers and lead from the brass fittings into the water, imo not something I would want in my res, soil, bubblebags, etc.

good call, any Home Depot will have RV hose for drinking water, the roll of hose I have is a bright blue, it's dual layered w/a white interior wall. These hoses are only a few dollars more than standard & come in standard sizes, whenever I start dyking hose I buy the quality brass fittings to complete each piece.

I use that fitting off my Washer outlet, But you would need a Female End i think, i mean, it depends on your fixture..

But Lowes/Home depot WILL have what you need...

at my store, the section of these fittings is small and in a corner..

Home depot has it . In the faucet isle with aerators . one end will be 3/4 hose thread the other could be 4 others sizes . like 55/64 . bring in the end of your bath faucet so u can match it up. about $5

for a long tome i used a fill and drain kit for a water bed. It wastes a lot of waterusing it to drain your res, but they do work well other wise
