Hello everyone, been busy with my honey-do list and keeping up with the KandyKush invasion, I haven't kept up on the updates. So here goes.
She is in flower now for 27 days and standing at 63 inches now (buds o yea). I have 2 600 Watt HPS on her in order to get even coverage. She has a wingspan of around 8 feet across the top canopy by 4 feet across. I put the lights down on the lower canopy for 2 days (in week 1) so I could even it up with the monster colas and it seemed to work awesome (thanks OKD for the tip)
The 12 clones in the MH light, they will get LST and hit 12/12 soon and should have a great stretch. That 13th beauty in the back is a bag seed from my son, she smells the whole room up.
4 weeks or so to go and I am watering/fertilizing every 3rd day now, she just drinks it up. And with that I am expecting her to get really chunky now and show her Trainwreck heritage. The buds have a poopyish smell directly but when you touch the buds and smell the sticky, its a fruity smell and I believe the OG Kush coming out! We are really looking forward to see things develop. More updates to comes, 2nd cut of KandyKush clones and more on the 1st cut too!

Hi: I didn't want to hijack your thread so I threw in a quick picture. The dispensary claims it is KandyKush (Trainwreck X OG Kush). It is very viney and looks like the old Cali Arcata Trainwreck. I will top it one of these days as it is 3 feet tall and shows no signs of bushing out. Does this look like your plant?

Hey BomBayCat thanks for dropping by the thread! No probs on the pic posting bro. Healthy plant you got there! I would definitely top it and see no reason why not to FIM it either. It responds well to that and loves LST. Once it gets topped the undergrowth will take off.
Here's Kandy Kush at 44 days of flower now. Some of the fine white hairs are turning reddish on some buds toward the bottom while the tops seems still all white. The smell of her has taken over the room and drowns out the skunky bag seed girl next to her. When you check the tightness of the nugs you pull back a nice shttps://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=46559&pictureid=1113025 sticky sweet citrus smelling residue on your fingers. I am going to suspect she may be ready right at 8 weeks maybe 9 because she vegged almost a month (20days) extra she will finish fast.
I put the first round of clones into flower last night and want to see the stretch I will get as they won't veg as long as mom did!
The next batch of 14 clones getting their stretch on!
And 9 more clones just for fun lol.
Also got some SpaceQueen clones from a good friend and looking forward to more of that wonderful smoke too this fall. More to come enjoy the show!

What's up Bro just checking in on ya. Hope yours are getting huge. Ok just smoked some kk jarred maybe a week...not much smell yet but I am feeling pretty good after a jay. Heady but now slowly body nice just wish it yielded more for me.
Hi KGB~Dragon: I FIMed my outdoor Kandy Kush a while back to see if it would bush out some but it is too soon to see much. The plant seems to handle that treatment well. I found pistils on the side branches so it will finish in this short growing season here in CO. Do you know if KK has a small yield? There are not many flowering bud sites on it. I have heard it is a good smoke though.

So I missed a week of updates and things have progressed tremendously. Today is day 55 and trichomes are very milky, so any day now or two or three, she'll get the chop and start the cure process.

They drink up 30 Gal water, 2lbs of ewc, 1/2 Cup of Bat Guano 0-7-0, 1/2 cup Fish Emulsion 0-10-10, 1/3 cup Molasses - ANIMALS!
Got a pic to show of the second round of clones next in line. But I'm going to make soil in advance of transplant and use teas or liquid bloom nutes where necessary during their flower period. The idea of just watering is a pleasant one and probably just a dream, but I'm going to try it as I've seen too many great results.

Does anyone know if Kandy Kush is a big nutrient hog? I cloned one directly in some Vital Earth Organic Potting Soil which I have also done for years. After several weeks it showed signs on Nitrogen deprivation so I transplanted and top dressed with EWC. Too soon to tell if that fixed it.

Hi Bombaycat and everyone too! Sorry had my internet service out for a spell and now it's back in action. =)
I haven't really noticed her needing a vast amount of nutrients thus far. Worm Castings are a win no matter how you use them, I augment the soil with them, 20% worth in each pot. And in some teas too, when I nutrient feed, I use EWC, Molasses, Fish Fertliizer and when I have some Bat Guano. Not in very heavy doses either using the minimums per directions.
I do notice that this strain likes to shed/yellow leaves ALOT! I got worried as well for that reason but as time passed it just does that, no mater what nutes I feed it or foliar feed with.

Glad you're back in the Matrix, KGB~D! Yes I can't see that Kushmonster getting too much nutes! Maybe dump enough bottled stuff'd burn 'er...hey didn't you feed her that homebrewed banana-squash bloom stuff too?

Hi: I still don't know why that clone I took was yellow on the UPPER leaves unlike Nitrogen dep. Anyway I transplanted and top dressed with EWC and after about 3 days that clone took off and is growing a bunch. I am going to use it for a mother plant. The one outside I FIMed did really well. It only grew about 4 tops and they stretched about 3 inches. It is starting to flower and more bud sites are showing up but it will never be a heavy yielder. It smells kind of dank rotten so I am thinking it will be a good smoke.

It seems easy to clone as I made a mother plant and just took a baby cutting. I FIMed the big plant and it took very well to the treatment as it only stretched about 8 inches. I am hoping I like this variety.

Hi everyone, been a while since my last post but KK yielded close to 200gm and the clones are on track for about 84 to 100 each give or take. The final tally on flower time was 75 days. The harvest is 18 days old now and the smoke is smooth and STOUT! The high is unending and you can smoke your self to sleep if you want. Being as my tolerance is extreme and this stuff can put me to sleep is saying a lot for it's potency. It's sweet smelling when you bust up the bud and smells of someone making hard/rock candy when it burns, a sweet perfume type aroma.
I plan on harvesting clones soon and will post up yields etc but I am very happy with this strain.

I love kandy kush, i have two different phenos the one i have in flower now reminds me of durban poison by the smell and is super stretchy, the other one i havent flowered yet, if it resembles the first one in any way, im stoked!!!!
