SO LADS N LASSIES, BACK TO THE POINT IN QUESTION, BETWEEN ORGANIC GROWING OR CHEMICAL GROWING, WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE, THE BEST ANSWER I'VE GOT WAS THAT IT IS BETTER TO GO ORGANIC FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES AND I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT AS FAR AS GOVERNMENT AND LAW IS CONCERNED, IN AS SUCH AS NOBODY AWAY FROM THE GROWER IS PROFITING FROM IT (R.E. THE MAKERS OF THE CHEM. NUTRIENTS) THEREFORE, IT CAN'T BE TAXED, MAKES SENSE, THAT BEING SAID, I DON'T NEED IT FOR MED'S BUT IF I DID I AM PROBABLY GOING TO PAY MORE FOR A MEDICINE THAT IS CHEMICALLY PRODUCED,,RIGHT OR WRONG,,SO,,SO,,EMM, KEEP IT ORGANIC FOR PEOPLE THAT REALLY NEED IT,,,,GOT IT EVERYONE,, THANKS FOR A BRILLIANT DISCUSSION,, SURE OPENED MY EYES TO A LOT O THINGS,,GOODLUCK,EVERYONE,,,SLAN LEAT AGUS GO RAIBH MILE MAITH AGAT.

There is really no noticeable difference between a true living organic soil and well done chemical fertilizer grow, IMHO. I am convinced that a plant doesn't care where the elements come from as long as they are getting all their basic needs met. I feel a bit duped by the whole organic movement, it didn't even come close to what I thought it was going to be. I expected pure bliss and organic utopia and just ended up with run of the mill top notch healthy plants. I went all in with the organic stuff too, I'm talking a worm bin (feed only the best food waste), homemade EM1 inoculate and Bokashi bran (Bokashi compost that I buried in my yard for 6 months), lobster compost, kelp meal, neem and karanja cake, crab shell, Azomite, Tennessee brown rock, soft rock phosphate, crushed oyster shells, rice hulls, gypsum, sul-po-mag, alfalfa meal, feed grade molasses, oat bran and on and on. This shit took so long to procure and cost a fortune, and the final result was just as good as any done right chem grow. I drank the Kool-Aid and I learned a proper lesson, there is no magic elixir better than dedicated stewardship to your garden, that will always be the best thing you can give a plant. I will say, it is nice to just add water and not spend hours mixing nutrient solution, adjusting PH and checking your ppm. But then again the custom organic soil you make doesn't mix itself. And I didn't even touch on the tea you need to brew to keep the micro-herd happy oy vey! A great tea can only come from great compost and castings (more hard work). Side note there is a big difference between a real living soil and chemically amended/added soil grow. I know many will disagree with what I say but opinions are vast and plentiful.

as for the facts of the matter what lee van keif said on page on is pretty much the gist of it. as for which is better is subjective to opinion which is probably what everything else in this thread says. i'm guessing since i only went to the top of page 2. i started off in soilless with blue powder, then i tried hydro, then hempy and tnow organics. my who goal is the best weed with the least amount of hassle. so far i'm leaning to organics, or if i do the chemical thing again lucas formula and a nice 2+week flush. but it all depends on you. if you like checking pH and mixing nutes and fine level of control then do chems, but if you like to give the plants what they need and let em take what they want then do organics.

either way you can still grow great weed. sucks about that prison shit. i say to myself ill kill myself before i let anyone cage me up for growing a fucking naturally occurring plant. hope the day never comes when i gotta show and prove.

I couldn't agree more brother.

This is a great post.

AL70, READ THIS POST!!!

Again I have much respect for a true organic grower. (bottles of roots organic, etc. don't count IMO)

I simply don't have the time, or space for what Herb is talking about here. Just reading his words tired me out. LOL!

Good luck to all growers!!!!!
