WaterFarm complete simple question.

24/7 on the drip rings... One thing you might try, especially if you are growing large plants, is to ditch the outer bucket of the waterfarm, and pick up one of those 18 gal totes, with a sturdy lid.
I would highly advise drilling about 50 1/4" holes in the bottom of the inner bucket. The stock holes are too small, and you will get unbelievable roots with the larger holes.
Carefully cut hole for inner bucket to fit in the lid of the larger tote, without dropping through. Add level tube if you want, fill to 2" below the growing bucket, and mark the tube. Cut a smaller hole in the tote lid to access the solution for testing.
I have used a system like this for years, and it really makes life a lot easier. 2 gallons of solution in the stock waterfarm bucket drove me nuts. So did lifting the plant out to change the res!
I also gave up on airstones completely, and use 1/4" soaker hose ($6 for a 100 foot role at Blowes)
Weight it down with a couple stainless steel bolts, and use some barb fittings to connect as you need. Makes a nice curtain of bubbles, and NEVER clogs!
Happy growing. I love waterfarms!

^^ Yeah, it's good to modify the design a little. Make something similar to RDWC (I think that's what it's called). That way you have a res, so you can top up the water without lifting out the plants.

deff go to a rdwc. use 11/2" or 2" uniseals for your return they are better than bulk heads and for sure won't leak. drill the holes out in the liner to let your roots drop. run solution all the way into the liners . I also use a ball valve at the control so I can adjust water levels. get a good pump and your set.
doesn't get much easier. been running this type of setup for over 10 years with great results. retired my old square pots made new ones out of off the shelf stuff. water farms are the way to go for bushes.
Good luck

home made rdwc 3 1/2 bucket,8" net pot and simple water farm style ring. If you need a diy let me know. simple and cheap. 6 pots under a under 1 kw hps. I'll get a pic of the control for you but its not much to it. Just a waterfarm tank with a pump and bubblers. just raise your pots about an 1 1/2 above your control to ensure there is some fall on the rehttps://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=47552&pictureid=1110571 turn. gravity takes care of the rest. I just set my buckets on a couple of 2x4's.

results LUI f3 self made @ 65 days in at 1' finished @ just over 3' 50/50 pheno Christmas tree style.
