Did anyone go to Electric Daisy Carnival 2013(EDC)?

I missed it this year when it came to chicago.. but I hear the one in vegas is the the shit.. anyone go to it this year? how was the lineup/sets? I'm hoping to go next year.. I love EDM among other kinds of music but this festival seems to be the largest/best in terms of lineups.. just so damn expensive tho @ $250+ for 3 day pass.

I did however catch wavefront fest. this year and am heading down to CA for Outside Land in august.

lol some of it I guess... there's a very wide range of acts/sets over the span of 3 days(EDC).. but yea it's mostly electronic dance music.. I grew up on chicago house music but love all kinds of music to be honest.. any excuse to get out to a festival I'm there.

Not sure about this year but last year leo searched everyone going in. Vegas popo is like Nazi land.

They put in "anonymous drug drop boxes" so if you brought stuff with you, you wouldn't have to face charges if put in the boxes, but if caught with drugs they would press the issue to the full extent of the law. Supposedly 8 arrests and only a minor number of people were hospitalized, so overall I would say EDC went pretty well this year.

4 of the arrests and 2 of the ambulance rides occurred when a handful of attendees made off with one of the drug drop boxes and ran over a pair of event security guards who tried to block their egress.

4 of the alleged drug thieves were apprehended when they were found to be hiding out inside the box. another three floated away on a pink cloud and remain at large.

The only day I ever try to get for EDC is the day that Pete Tong plays, and every year its sold out before I can get my hands on that one single days ticket.

Yea the degree of searching varies by venue.. ppl still manage to get their shit in one way or another lol.. glad to hear some of you got out to it... and yea tickets are fuckin pricey and sell out quick which is Y I missed it this year.

I was very interested in seeing Calvin Harris, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Morgan Paige, Tiesto, Benny Bennassi and Chicago's very own Bad Boy Bill this year... never heard of Porter Robinson or Pete Tong gonna have to look 'em up.. I heard they posted all the full live sets on sound cloud from EDC this year incase anyone's interested.
