It's time for the new and improved Lazyeye-grow!
This will be my second grow, and my first with coco and blumats. My first grow was a huge success with hempybuckets (journal: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=253362). However, I very much disliked the drain to waste and all the work and mess around it. I don't have a wetvac, nor do I have the space for one. I was left with the spunge and bucket method, no more! Let the autowatering begin!
The setup is the same as with my last grow, but for the sake of lazyness I'll spell it out in this journal as well;
Secret Jardin DR90Twin. Top chamber for veg and bottom for flower. At the moment they are vegging under the hps in flower though.
Spudnik reflector made by Prima Klima 6".
600W Sylvania HPS bulb.
Gavita Digistar 600W dimmable ballast.
A 400m3/h carbon filter.
A 355m3/h 6" exhaust fan.
And in the vegchamber I'm running a TNeon reflector with 2x 55W 6500k flourescents.
The strain is Chronic from Serious Seeds. All of the plants are from seed. My first grow was Blue Cheese from Barneys Farm. I loved that strain, and I still love to smoke it. But the smell just wasn't manageable.
So this time I wanted to have less of a mess, and to learn new things. Enter coco, and blumats. Just finished setting them up, as shown in the pictures. Pretty easy to set up, the feeder line is a pain to work with though. It's very very stiff. The blumats are connected to a 75L reservoir. A circulating pump has been ordered.
I'm soon leaving for a vacation, so the plants will not get any nutes at all until I get back. I don't want them to grow too fast while I'm away.
I'll stop there for now. I hope we'll have as much fun as I did in my last journal, and to learn alot of new things as well. There's so many knowledgable people around here, last grow wouldn't have been what it was without you guys!
Happy reading and take care! This is going to be a fun ride!
