not my favorite buzz...but edibles work for me.
i believe eating cannabis played a major role in my success of quitting cigarettes cold turkey. or maybe i was just so medicated i couldnt get off the couch!

i know that wasnt an option, but if im just sitting around after smoking or vaping my mind often starts going; bills, work, ect
..and brings on anxiety.

edibles dont do that for me. just good rest.

I have used a vaporizer for about five years and I have never vaped too much to get anxiety, personally it happens more easily with a bong/spliff when someone mixed tobacco innit.

If anxiety hits, I try to sit still and observe and remove all thoughts.
When the herb takes me to the present moment, my mind might try to stick around by creating nasty thoughts.

Trick is to tell the mind that You are just a tool for me to plan my future and survival. It will humbly shut up one day. :)

Honestly, I would not recommend smoking weed if you have anxiety. Only under certain conditions would weed help you, for example stress anxiety. Other then that I think there is a few categories of anxiety that would be greatly increased from smoking. But everyone is different and it has never helped me for what I have. I have had to actually quit a few times until I got my anxieties under control. Because you can make your condition much much worse.

find yourself a knockout broadleaf indica and roll some joints of the sugar trim. of course i'm not a doctor and have done no scientific testing but for this guinea pig there's something about sugar trim that takes anxiety and tosses that shit right out the window. might be high cbd content in the leaf, not sure, but it works for me.

I stay clear of heady sativas, sticking to indicas and indica-biased hybrids (Dutch Treat, Purple Kush). I miss the roller coaster but I just get tired of the stress.

many of us trying to drive out the demon Anxiety, he doesn't like to leave once he sets up shop
when you smoke, you get a modest dose of carbon monoxide
that does elevate the pulse rate, and some anxiety sufferer's do not deal well with an increased pulse rate
you know the big rush you get from a big rip? that is exactly what you don't want if you're trying to tame anxiety

A long time sufferer of anxiety here, I've found that contrary to most people the type of cannabis that I smoke doesn't have any bearing on whether or not it induces anxiety in me. With my experience, the less I smoke, the more anxiety it can produce. If I smoke several times a day every day, it gets my mind used to it, and it can help reduce the panic when I need it to. If I only smoke occasionally, the high is more intense, and I can have very unpleasant "wig-outs". These usually happen if I take some time off, and start smoking again. Same thing with anti-depressants, they need to build up in your system first. Just speculation, but it makes sense to me.

That's just me though, everyone is different. My suggestion is to keep a journal of your experiences. Sometime it's hard to remember what it was like inside of your anxiety when you're not currently suffering from it. Try many different approaches, and see if one of them works best for you.

Hang in there, and we're here if you need us!

There is a build-up of some sort of tolerance.

I have a panic attack if I decide to smoke after a month of abstaining. I have paid attention on these forums and this happens to people a lot.

I was going through a half-ounce a week of different stuff.

Some 'noided me out, some mellowed me - body and all. It really is picking the best strain, because going between paranoia and in the same day smoking different stuff, and it stopping - really made me think "cannabis" is not the drug, but THC, CBD. CBD is anti-psychotic, anxiolytic.

I would recommend a paki of afghan, just to start and to see how plants of those two affect ya. Some weed, believe it or not completely cures your anxiety, but it will make you forget, not want to do anything...etc.

That's where switching between a racy or regular THC strain come in handy. You can always cool off with indica, but if you're "too cool" you start to really become depressed or drone-like.

But canna, it is very connected to strain. You only see the part where if you smoke enough and often, that the high won't bring anxiety. But for me, I have had so many strains pass through, that some I know for a fact make me clench my jaw and other features dealing with paranoia, racy excited states.

This is my experience also. the cannabis medicine needs to build up in yr system ... and then it can be maintained with small amounts daily.

but I think medicine need to be ingested not smoked. ... so Tinctures.

Just like alcohol, smoking is a social lubrication for me.

If i can be doing what i want while having a joint in my hand it does wonders. Im not a big drinker and I have that social anxiety that can cripple you at times. If I know forsure I am in an uncomfortable situation, i try not to get too high because then I start putting WAY too much thought into things, just boosting my anxiety even more.

So I guess I am more "situation dependent" in a sense. Smoking can either make me feel 100% better or it can make evertthing worse.

indica is very calming and relaxing, and doesn't activate the head-rush effects that sativa does. sativa will open up the mind and increase subtle mental activity, which can promote anxiety.

interesting you ask about whether vaping or smoking is best. so many "experts" say there is no difference between the 2 methods of ingestion, but anyone who's paying attention notices that there is, and the logic must have to do with certain cannabis ingredients being activated by burning.... my experience is that vaping results in a much smoother, relaxing effect. so overall: vape indica.
