60/60 Forced Flowering Approach

Ok, ok i see that now... Hurry up, hurry up, voice in the head :D ... But you better was not to hurry up ;) ... I trying ff this summer and we will see... My question was not that i want to reveg, but i don't want to reveg, know what i mean? Clones rooted and vegged for 1 week on 24/0, and when they go to the out, low light number will trigger flowering, and i want to stay that way (skipped the 2 weeks indoor flowering - in the SB manual ;) ). But light number out is 15/9, and i afraid that clones don't go to the vegetation, just to continue flowering, as the days became shorter... We all know that the majority of strains flower approximately on 14:30 light hours, and lower.... i think you understand me now... Stay high!

You were clear enough from the start.

Maybe it's better to just say.... There isn't a pat answer, too many variables.

I was only trying to help you with what little I've done in my setup.

That and keeping your Q up top.......

Bumping because it's that time of year!

I'm also curious if anyone has successful experience at 42/43-ish latitude with using 24 hour light from seed, then placing outside pre-solstice (but after 6 weeks minimum indoor growth) to trigger flowering... Anybody done this without reveg? Has anybody done this with a pure sativa or sativa-dominant strain?

There's not much info about 24 hour light indoors & then moving outdoors to flower pre-solstice. Theoretically, after 6 to 8 weeks of 24 hour light, 15 hour days should set them into flower, even if those days are getting longer. Of course, different strains will react differently.

What I'm after is the situation where I don't have to trigger flowering indoors. I'd prefer to let nature do it. Partly, this is because I've read that after 24 hour indoor light, the change to natural sunlight plus the change to shorter photoperiod will trick the plant into flowering and they will never reveg. I've heard that triggering flowering with 12/12 indoors and THEN moving outside causes a risk for re-veg due to the change in light spectrum.

I might begin to test this next year with several strains, say 5 of each by running 24 hour light, from seed, then going outside with them after 8 weeks (around June 1st) and seeing what happens.

Thanks for bumping this thread, Cannabis Motiva. I've never seen it but it's an interesting concept. I really haven't gotten past the first couple posts, but post #1 is the main idea.
Happy reading!

Same to you! This thread really gets the ideas rolling. Lots of great info.

Does anyone know exactly what daylight hours (or lack of) are needed to keep it in flower?

At my lat (43) july 16 is the first day under 15 hours of light...

I cant wait to try this. I've been slowly making my way through silverback's threads. Going to buy a teen clone get it on 12/12 and put it straight into flowering early July outside.

I think I'm going to do a couple this way this year. Wish me luck! I'll leave a couple natural a couple like this so we can compare
