We can see, think and feel with our eyes, brains and our hearts...

We can live honorable lives to be proud of.

We can even die happy and unafraid because we know the truth.

You know the truth brother! :). Bog

In this hot summer season, let's be extremely careful not to get heat stroke!
Let's never push ourselves unreasonably.
Let's be sure to get a regular intake of liquids and plenty of rest
and set the room temperature wisely.
Staying in good health is the very basis of victory.
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo!!!

Long hot summer...thank you father sun!

I rarely work in the heat but drink lots of water and say...

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo for the spring waters mother earth provides.

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo!

Patience is a virtue they say... well being patient is the way to success for me... and chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo along the way certainly helps...

Reminds me of a line from a novel by Tom Robbins where he describes some one "wacktooeying merrily" as they went on there way...hither and yon...

I prefer to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo!

Be strong like Leo the Lion and Roar it!

Nichiren writes: "Hence we come to realize that there is no difference between
one's own mind and the mind of the Buddha, and accordingly wake from the dream
realm of birth and death and return to the waking state of original
enlightenment. This is known as attainment of Buddahood in one's present form."

Are you all chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" as you are contemplating or when meditating?

And, just interested in the results of this?

Southflorida, the chanting is done in several ways but we believe chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo will bring out the inner Buddha in us all.

I do chant silently sometimes when beginning my meditation but my understanding is that verbally chanting aloud seems to be best. Sometimes I picture the words as I chant them.

There are many schools of Buddhism and this thread is about the form that leads most assuredly to enlightenment.

So glad you stopped by because you are like me. What you have said in your thread, "The Myth of Objective Reality" is why I invited you here. Our members should read your thread.

You may not know that you are one if us yet but I think you are kind sir. I see insights you have that must have come from within you because I think you stated that you were not a student of Buddhism. You know a lot however about our perceptions of reality.

Sometimes we receive special insights when meditating and this could be why you are correct on many things. Please take the time to read back and see these things we believe so that you can become one of our brethren.

We are all brothers and sisters seeking understanding of the truth and our place in the universe. We will all chant in prayer for you.

Tom is best equipped to teach in this thread so Pass the Doobie to Tom... ;). Bog
