I found a place that can special order the barley seed and kelp meal in the 50 lb bags. They are made by a company called o.h. Kruse grain and milling, anyone ever come across these and know If they're any good??There out of California I called them and they said that the barley seed and the kelp meal is not organic though and they don know if the seed is gmo or not, the kelp meal in a PDF on there website says dried kelp (ascophylum nodosum)

Kelp comes from the ocean and thus is not GMO.

Barley is another story, however unless Monsanto found it to be a worthwhile crop for monetizing by making it Roundup Ready or for some other pest resistance, it's unlikely that it's GMO either.

both barley and wheat have gmo versions and have for some time

don't want it to be gmo? buy organic seed

Whats your heat wave temp like in the room?
I run air in the summer{6400 cfm per room} and as long as it stays around 50-55f at night time outdoor temp, my room never gets above 85f near plants tops and 70f to 80f near root zone. I find that if i add a extra gal of compost to my mix in the summer they deal with the extra bits of heat no issue, i planted a few girls{same strain haze} without the extra compost same conditions, plants are having a harder time dealing with the transpiration when the living is easy. peace

wow , love the lady action guys!

hey vapor, my temps have gone north of 90 a few times but the plants seem to handle it quite well. in the UK we never get more than a few weeks of really hot weather in the summer and thats in a good year (this is the hottest july for 40 years) - so its hardly worth setting up aircon unless you need it year round for your rooms. the temps in the loft where my cabs are gets well over 100 but i duct cooler air up from the house and run the lights at night always (better in summer and winter imo ) my canopy is usually pretty dense and that in itself helps keep the plants cooler i think.

vapor - also interesting about the extra compost helping the plants deal with the heat - do you think thats mainly because of the increased water holding capacity that it gives to the soil? i like to use some topsoil for that reason it gives the mix some body and stops it drying out as quickly..

the Lemon Thai is the most 'different' weed i have ever smoked. the high is crystal clear with a kind of stimulated energetic feeling. you could almost believe you weren't wasted some of the time but actually it is very potent and you will be reminded now and again that you are very high indeed.
taste and smell are straight lemon cleaner, one pheno was very strong grapefruit.

i have a few more seeds of this and want to do some F4's at some point. i also have a cross in mind to do with it. huge respect to bodhi for maintaining and spreading these unusual genetics.

Verdant,
You description is eggs ackley like what I grew in the 70's from 2 seed found in 4 Thai Sticks. I eventually gave up on it because of super long times before it would bloom and it was a persistent hermi. Passed hermi characteristic on to all offspring from crosses. Great unusual high like you described. Any hermies? Good luck. -granger

hey granger, i got 4 girls (no males). 1 was a proper herm, another threw a few late nanners but nothing much.. and the other two were pretty stable girls that i ran a couple of times. the good thing was that they were ready in 9-10 weeks which makes life much easier.
for purer tropical sativas i find that (indoors) flowering them on 10/14 makes them bud up much more convincingly, and keeping the soil light (low N) so they are struggling for nutrition also seems to help, as does restricting the roots until they are flowering and then giving them a little up-pot to see them through. (some good tips in the ACE seeds forum about all that)
its very easy to get those pure sativas growing well, but making them flower properly is more of a challenge!
the lemon thai must have some indica in there somewhere but it doesnt come through in the high at all.
