shrivelling tops

O

Hi cannacomrades!

The tops of my plant started shrivelling a few days after transplant and it's been like that for about a month now. I also had a problem with its fan leaves that became kind of white/transparent starting from the middle, not the edges. However the leaf problem is gone now.

Its growth is relatively normal otherwise. Soil is ok (pH ~7) and all the elements are as indicated, apart from Borium being a bit high, but had no probs last summer.

Any tips as to how I should go about it?

Hello my Phill!
appreciate your response, but you still leave me in the haze.
Why I inspect them tops with a x10 lupe, but I see no creatures whatsoever...
Them leaves may have misguided you, for there's dirt on them, not bites!
I'll give them another thorough inspection though and will spray accordingly if need be!

i think BM are too small to see with only 10x...check the BM sticky...the damage looks the same to me...

good luck

Hi orfeas !

Do u know the "Hemp Streak" Virus?

It appears after transplant a lot of times...
One of my friends had it on the last year, after transplant and I'm watching the same symptoms on your plants.

I'll pray for u, this virus is a f*cking shit!

Regards dude, I will stay here for news!

Well folks, the use of a x30 microscope showed no signs of living creatures whatsoever.
So the problem awaits identification...
However, I thank you Phillthy & OzzieAI for giving me the incentive to do some reading on the buggers!
zEN- mate, it seems I also have to read about the bloody virus you reffered to!

Stay safe!

just reread what you wrote and you stated that it happened just after transplant. could just be transplant shock.

Hola cavron!
After some contemplation I decided to exterminate the little lady to avoid any spread of the disease( of which I have no idea!). You see, next to the problematic one, I've got a thriving girl and I thought to myself what the heck... However, the roots were very healthy!

Anyway, I've got a Kali Mist in another ditch doing fine at 180 cm at the moment...

Thank you for your concern!

Plants with heat stress symptons create an "air tunnel" in his leaves like this:

It's really different, the "Hemp Streak" virus deforms all the leaf!

Damn, I smoked a big one and my english is horrible today  i'm sorry for no explain me better :yummy:

Not virus. Broad mites. You need a 100x microscope to see them. Good luck.

Done some reading, mostly American Universities info and sizes vary from 0.08 mm (eggs) to 0.2 mm (larvae).
Now I find myself wondering how come you need so great a magnification to see them buggers!

Just for the record, this is the lady thriving next to the problematic one I pulled out in fear of her getting affected.
Now, can I safely conclude that the problem was definitely NO BM?
