I've been keeping it in the basement where it's cool and only have been keeping them in the fridge since summer. The vials are sealed air tight and I also put the whole thing in a ziplock bag before putting it in the fridge. Haven't noticed any moisture so far but have been wondering if it might affect the leather over time.

Nothing special here... just an old crushproof sunglass case with a desicant pack thrown in. Collection has been growing exponentially so it's time to step it up. I'm liking the concept of the vial case and definitely look forward to seeing new ideas pop up!

Dan...look closer...the cigar box is seeds I was sorting for the Server fund...the grey drawer is from a sentry box I was lookin thru..the 1s laying out are some open n some sealed orig breeder pks...that was just what was in front of me..I have 5 boxes of genetics..and I give away almost as many as I buy or get as donations..
Fatburt...ya tru...I sweat germ allot...funny part is outa most its still good...Ive had the worst germ rates from old seed co's like those KC Brains or on the other hand..Nirv's or Mandalas pop almost every time...
I'll pull out the entire collection...I love um..and we all need um..
and back in the day Nirv was like $18 or 20 a pk..KC was $16 and think Mandala came out at $20/pk....very hard to pass up...
Also have diabetic storage containers that have lots of seeds..like 50, 80 and 100lots or more,..heh.....
Elite cuts are a nice view of 1 phenom of a line..but seeds rule it all....

Just wondering how everyone stores there genetics
I'll start off. I keep my seeds in little 1,8ml vials which fit in a leather etui that can hold 240 vials (a vial can contain a max of 25-45 seeds depending on their size).
I keep them in the fridge for storage.

I'm pretty sure I got them same vials but nowhere near that many strains I doubt I'll ever get that bad but I'm getting close to 20 strains in the fridge plus 2 MNS spring cleaning packs that came with about 60 beans each. Also I fill all the extra space in my vials with rice (sucks the moisture out of the air).
actually no mine are different I just looked at the close up I got a little one with brown glass and a screw top.
a trunk actually. lol
nowhere near the collection op presented. i've a few hybrids but lots of seeds from each.

Love the presentation of the leather etui been looking for something like that for a long time now. Where would one find such a thing?
I keep my seed collection in 1.5L airtight kilner type preserve jars and stored in a cool dark place. The jars have a good and bad sides, good because most seeds can fit in/stored in orginal breeders packages without being removed, bad because i never know whats in what jar so end up emptying every jar out just to find 1 or 2 packs lol that being said i could make a log of whats in each jar
Anyway il post pic's up when i get a min
no bigs Dan...thought you were ref to the cigar box in my image...I like cigar boxes cause they work great for seed stash and look nice to...plus they dont stick out like a lock box..
wheres the fridge?....I had a small fridge bout 4 yrs ago and had it for bout 6-8yrs..
but think Gypsy or 1 of the other vendors posted a fridge like 8yrs ago...
now that was seed storage...it was a 2 door full sized, fully stocked fridge..looked like a seed candy store..
but I know theres some ppl who have great stock options...as they say..heh...
without the egg there'd be no chicken right?...
and just incase that comes up...the Egg was first...2 types of birds created the 1st chicken egg...the 1st Chicken was a Egg...
How many eggs are in your basket?...I'll grab a pic of my full collection soon...but I know theres plenty of folk round here stockin deep!..

ok so its a addiction and a passion......so heres what I got sittin around....but I know others have way more....heh....
