So to celebrate my buddies upcoming wedding I decided to take him and another guy out for some beverages (them) and WW for me...

So broad daylight...2 girls..1 guy walking down the street...guy is yelling at his pregnant gf (mebbe 5 months)....I'm watching, so are my buddies...walk past us....and he shoves her...I'm thinking this isn't going to end nicely.

So perhaps I'm old school but I literally said "fuck this" got up, looked at them...they stayed seated and I high tailed it after the trio to ensure nothing bad happened..

Fortunately either the sight of me barreling towards him, or something his gf screamed at him clicked... but either way he ran one way, and the girls hightailed it the other way...

SADLY the only other person who also came running was a 50yr old lady who weighed mebbe 90 lbs escorting her grandma to the DR. across the street...She said she would have witnessed for me to prevent an assault charge had it came to that and thanked me for stepping up so she didn't have to..


So I guess the point of this rant is....the patio was had probably 15 guys in it.....1/2 bigger than me.

I'm a legal medical user due to neck(spinal) issues and a Fight could put me on disability if I were to lose and get thumped.

Yet nobody else would step up...All I got was "what happened" from my "buddies"....All I said was "thanks for watching my back".
Night was ruined...I was home by 7:30pm

The Patio girl was rather nice...having been apparently punched in the face before.

She still wouldn't give me permission to roll a joint at the table tho....I wasn't going to smoke it there...she said mgmt would have a bird if they even saw me try and roll "discretely"....I needed something to relax...as I was a wee bit pissed.

So lesson of the day....I would have rather have my 90lb German
Sheperd watching my back....or my wife(strong ukrainian girl..)...

People would rather turn their head than STEP UP.

Same kinda thing happened to me once. A friend and I are walking down Commercial Drive in Vancouver, when we approach a park. In the park I see 3 guys literally boot fukin this dude on the ground. I look across the street at the coffee shops with like 50 people watching in horror. I could not believe not one person got up. I walked over to the rowdies and asked them how stupid they had to be too be boot fukin a guy in front of 50 people. They tried to argue at first, but saw the logic of my words, or so I thought. I turned around and now 50 people were standing behind me. They buggered off when the sirens came, but were followed and caught. Makes me wonder if that fellow would have lived if I didn't cross the road that day. Peace GS

Cops don't even like to get involved with domestic disturbances.

When I was 15 years old I was walking down the street with my 13 year old brother. We saw a guy about 30 years old beating his wife/gf on the front porch of their house. Now I was a scrapper and kinda fearless but my brother was scared for me to get involved because the guy was older. I told him if I started to lose go to the gas station and get help.

I went onto the porch and confronted the guy. He tried to hit me and I took him down quite easily and hammered on him some until he basically submitted and stopped fighting. Then I realized I was being beaten about my head and shoulders with a broom. His wife started kicking my ass with a broom. My brother started laughing, I jumped over the railing and left shaking my head over the whole situation.

That summer my brother told everybody that would listen that I got my ass kicked by a girl with a broom. He never would mention the fact I kicked some 30 year old guy's ass. LOL!

Many times the woman you are trying to help will help her attacker. But I would still do the same thing again.
