Sick seedlings in coco

The seedlings are in botanicare coco coir using GH nutrients micro/bloom at 6mL/9mL per gallon plus liquid karma and pH at 5.5 to 6

I start the seedlings at 1/3 strength, this has worked with LA chocolat, afghan Kush, ssh, and NL skunk. But for some reason all 3 of my Skywalker Kush seedlings are sick with the same symptoms

Healthy LA Chocolat seedling, day 9

And here are the 3 sick Skywalker Kush seedlings, also day 9

Do you happen to have a second ph pen or one you could borrow to double check your ph? If these were my plants - - I'd be thinking about the possibility of salty coco or my ph being off, but that would mean the Skywalker seedlings were much more sensitive to these conditions given that your other plants are fine. It'll be interesting to see what the cause is if you can figure it out. If your PH checks out, I'd give them another week before making any changes to see if they mature out of the condition.

The la chocolat is also showing signs of heat or light too close.
If thats a t5 u can back them off and make sure you're moving enough air

Too much food for them. Back off little bit and don't over water. When they perk up maybe give them a sea weed foliar to get the color back.

honestly they look fine to me. generally i am crap at growing from seeds but have a few coming out at day 10 or so and yours very similar to mine. my white widow is the race horse, followed closely by the kalichakra and the last lagger is the mazari who will be late for dinner....

could just be genetic variety matched with nute/water issues...

good luck...

My pH pen sucks but the skywalker kushs got the same water as the la chocolat, so your right they might just be more sensitive. I will get another pH meter and try to fix it.

Coco isn't too salty, I flush it before using and its preflushed by botanicare.

I killed the Skywalker in the first picture and flushed the other two then fed with a 1/6 strength which is half the strength they were getting. I also started 2 new seeds with that feed strength to see what happens... Waiting a week to see results

Be careful with flushing.. Those seem to be overwatered already so pouring more water to the roots will make it worse. Let them dry between waterings.

Coco is supposed to be kept moist, micro nutrients are available to the plant better when the coco is moist. My plants grow a lot faster and healthier when I water with nutrients daily. I get about 2dl of run off per liter of water. When I let the coco dry the plants always take damage.

Yes Sir you're right but water daily when the root system is established. I have been growing coco for few years and always started my seedlings in 2dl cups.
You can see it clearly from the pic that the plant is overwatered. Better to give juice with a syringe and very very slowly for the start. I used blumats and drip systems and hooked them after my plants got "legs".

My favourite for seedlings.

Beer cup, those red ones (don't know the name)
Make a hempy bucket out of the cup with perlite and coco

I germinate in a rapid rooter/rootit.
Once root out the bottom of rooter. Don't care what stage upper is at.

Flush coco with ph'd water and 2ml liter rhizotonic. Transplant, water to run off and leave for 2-3 days.

By this stage serrated leaves have appeared.
Then FULL strength GH 6/9 with Epsom salts as soon as serrated leaves appear.
This is the best bit, cause us flushed with low ppm it will take a bit for the cup to get to full strength, gradually increasing ppm with seedling growth.

Water every 2-3 days till the plant needs more. Just check cup weight every day. U'll know when to water every day.

Peace.

this^

the root system is not established, and therefore is just waterlogged and not able to suck up anything at all.

it is very common for people to over-water seedlings, especially in COCO.

LIQUID SUNMAN- i am on my second run of reserva privadas Skywalker Kush, they were/are ALWAYS finicky seedlings, and they are very sensitive to over watering in my experience with them.

I didn't overwater, I let the coco dry out somewhat between waterings. But I did start them in the 1 gallon root pots, first time I've done this. The coco took about a week to dry out once the seeds sprouted above the coco, could this cause overwatering symptoms?

I overwatered. because I let the coco dry out somewhat between waterings. But I also made the mistake of starting them in the 1 gallon root pots instead of 32oz beer cups, but this is the first time I've done this.(its okay were here to help) The coco took about a week to dry out since the pots were too big for the seedlings and contained too much water for there poor little taproot, and this caused my overwatering symptoms.
fixed :)

let em dry out for now, they should look alot happier!

next time start seeds in small beer cups or any pot less than 1L

Yeah I probably should have started in a smaller container, I wanted to avoid root circling and 1 gallon was the smallest I could find in the brand I use

Plants seem better, they were flushed and fed 1/6 strength of the 6/9 formula. I just fed them 1/4 strength today.

LA CHOCOLAT day 15, on 1/2 strength feeding
