Because in all Honesty if You had a Dedicated Fan Blowing Directly Underneath the LEDS you Could Grow Upto the LEDs [Glass/Plastic]

It's not so much the heat burn, more likely bleaching from flying too close to the sun. My mate had two 300w units parked right on top of his plants, the tops were nearly white after 3 days!!

Speechless M8. Nah lol. You Should tell that guy, think his name is green supreme??
Sure his Moto is "Changing/Bleaching the Colour of Cannabis one day at a time or something.."

How did The Bleached Bud Smoke? :smoker:
Did the Trichomes Deteriorate?
Imagine they would as im sure a Bleached Part of the Bud would Probably Mean a Dead Part.

Nice greenplant glad youve got one, that CJ will love it. I've had bleaching under LED lamps mainly on a 900w that only had 60 degree led's and was too focused. Mostly they now have 90 and 120 degree leds as they have a better spread. It can still happen though if your too close with some strains more than others. To be honest though a bit of bleaching doesnt bother me its still just as resinous and has a unique taste i saved the bleached bit for myself. Had no bleaching at 18 inches with your unit greenplant.
Glad people are now looking into to them and swapping, it was just a case of waiting until they got powerful enough.

Looks like you have 3x LEDs Running There Dirk is That Right?.2 Nines and 1 600w!
Sure im gonna Add a 1200w later in the year.Could have that the 900w and a 600w HID Buzzing at the Same Time but Thats a Bit Much for 12 Plants i Think.
Yours Look well For the Time Expired,Sure..

Moodster.Sure ive seen LEDs Specific for Growing too.I.e Blue and White Bulbs?

Here Looks Like the Reflector LEDs Have a Switch to Enable that

I use same leds for flowering as they have bue spectrum as well. Only use less lights further away. For early stages one 900w or 600w quite high up covering a lot larger area is adequate as they get bigger lower the light then incrase the numbers oflights if required. Most LED lights have both red and blue spectrums so cover both stages. If you wanted to stich to HID for flowering I suppose you could buy a less powerfull led for veg depends on the size of your grow.

I would Call that the Equivalent Yield to a 1000w Aircooled ?
Sure i Would Pick The LED Tho.How can NASA be Wrong.

do you think my crop will still benefit from the led at 5 weeks 4 days Already DD?
And TY 39 s cool.:D

Lol..HID in Space. Too ******* HOT Control..

been wondering bout these new type leds the only thing id love 2 no is led yield vs hid yield in watts etc do u peeps think its possible 2 get say 1 gram per watt on led and i wonder if the buds smoke wise are better
anyway good luck lads the 1s who purchased them hope u get good results and maybe these r gonna be the best thing since sliced bread lol

I find theres a lot more to it than the light, the biggest factor is the strain you are growing, if your growing bubba kush you will struggle to get 1g a watt. But if growing the same strain in the same conditions I find leds of the same power produce more. What you actually get is down to the grower.

I've a P98 Bk Flowering Now and has Been for Over 5 Weeks.I introduced the LED light last Wednesday but its Mainly Sat Under a 600watt Hps as it was Before
Yields Not That Impressive at all TBH
But it is Quite Heavily Seeded with BM Pollen tho...

thanks on the advice diggla thinking of replaceing a 600 with the 1200w led
that sounds sweet gp r u going to try led from a start of a flowering cycle in futore m8

Sure am Bro,leds the way to go me thinks the pics sShow That
and then theres the added bonus of the lesser amount of POWER USED! Phenomenal
1200w Later this Year.
Whats that Draw at the Plug? 720w Less if UK :smoker:

I think 5w are a better choice than larger chip-sets, but they are still point source.

9 days ago I added 4 X 4ft @23w led tubes. This provides an even distribution of spectrums/watts over the entire canopy

Come by to see how well the plants have responded

DirkDiggla

Point source? The 60 degree lights are fairly focused but most LED lights are now ninety and one twenty degree which give a good spread. Heres the Lem Chem at three and a half weeks.
