thank you

thanks i appreciate it. also, if there is anyone that hates name thievery, or strain misinformation. its me, in fact when people tell me they got a strain and they tag a name to it like "green crack" or "headband" or something anything, i usually just give a "yeah ok" look. i then explain, unless you got it from a dude growing it, and even then, the name can be thrown on there to help sell. but unless you see a seed pack i tell them, take it with a grain of salt, i mean unless it looks soo god damn impressive, then the product starts actually marketing the name, and not vise versa. kinds get what i mean.

any way, i was going to start calling them different names, based on certain characteristics, but i thought it to be somewhat "hacky" to do so, as all i did was plant some bag seeds that came from something.

i would like give these some new names. the ones i had originally i though were fucking gay after i looked back on them. anyhelp would be appreiciated. toss me an idea.

I think you should pick a name that means something to you. Those look amazing; you might as well take credit for it. Nothing hacky when you consider that ANY outstanding cut can get famous if it is worthy. I've seen random crosses that are insanely high quality.

Yeah, the name-change-game has really gotten out of control in the PNW. It happens two ways: wanna-be breeders that call their knock-offs by their parents' names (as if they are the same thing), and clubs/dispensaries that are re-naming their buds to move them faster. I strongly prefer that people just choose a new name and then list the parents for reference.

A great example is OG Kush. For some reason now everyone calls anything with a bit of kush in it 'OG', and now finding the authentic Tahoe OG or the OG #18 or the SFV Fire cuts has become a nightmare. It's frustrating. And every time I find a new version I hear: "oh, dude: this is DEFINITELY the real thing!" and it never is.

I have been slowly collecting elite cultivars to build a library of true-heritage strains and hybrids. Specifically clones of old-school strains, newer strains, oddball freaks... I'm trying my best to get AUTHENTIC clone-only cultivars. Seed-based clones and knock-offs are everywhere.

A local lab I work with is apparently developing genetic fingerprinting tests, but that will take time. And then all of the authentics will need to be cataloged before any comparisons can be made.

I want to preserve these genes before things go fully legal and suddenly we have no idea at all what is genuine and what is a knock-off. Hoping to maybe have a web store for them down the road if things go right and the nation goes legal.

It definitely has a funk sorta like that. Very unique; musky, sweet... I'd love to get a turpenoid profile of it. Soon!

okay thought a a name for the "senex type A" it will be renamed "Couch's princess"

for the senex type B it will be called "Silk S.I.L.F.

senex type C will be called B.T.T.R. for "back to the roots" this one roots real fast from cutting. and also is more "old school" sativa ish in growth. like a old school strain and taste. so back to the roots of indoor growing. or BTTR.

the Tahoe type E (purple one) is going to be called "spastic purple togk"
and tahoe type D is going to be called "ADT ogk" (alpha-delta tahoe ok kush)
