thanks ECH... Shitty thing is my bulb burned out so now the flowering girls are under 110w of PL-L that was in veg and has been replaced by CFL's in the veg cab...

I ordered a new bulb to see if that's all it was but I am planning for an upgrade just in case.... check out some of my more recent threads for details on that... would love your opinion...

I ordered that 150w replacement bulb... came in the other day and as soon as I opened it I was like OH SHIT! that's not the same size socket as my old bulb...

As I was doing research on upgrading, someone told me "All HID bulbs are mogul sockets" so when I replaced my 150w I didn't think anything of it...

Apparantly, 150w come in medium and MOGUL and mine happened to be medium when I ordered a MOGUL... it was only $20... I feel like it is not even worth returning for $20... What am I gonna buy with $20 bucks and it would be credited onto a Visa Gift Card... what good is $20 on a gift card? I feel like it is smarter to just keep it, for just in case down the road...

I know they make Mogul to medium adaptors but they look kinda hard to source... not available at regular Home Depot or Lowe's I don't think

Lol no... I ordered new equipment. 400w and 6" vortex fan, but people are telling me the fan is going to be way to big for my setup... so idk what to do. Still waiting for the carbon filter before I hook anything up.

How many CFM is it? you can use a fan controller to lower its speed if it turns out to be too strong.

Yo sour... Seems like I'm stumbling on a few yogi cats threads here reciently , dude find some bamboo or like I did cut up a old tents suport bars and find some kind of screen/ net
And make independent miniish SCROG's like I did for the yogi cup comp..
You will be able to run Indi and sats and make the screen lil bigger for the sats
Then you won't have to worry about diffrent flower and streach issues with running multiple cuts.. Awsome lil box u made there buddy here's to many many chunky nugs commin your way soon.. Sux about the bulb hate that shit when it happens...

Did you get an air cooled hood?
Anyhow, it will still blow hard through a filter and ducts.
A speed control is cheap if needed.
Can't hurt to try what you get. I'd use the sloped ceiling
To your advantage. A homemade cab with a peak top could be a good setup.

400+. I have already purchased a speed controller... My cab is only 21 cubic feet though... I am going to be exchanging the air like 5 or more time per minute... it is damn near going to be a wind tunnel in there. Anyone know how to figure out how many CFM's are lost from carbon filters and how many CFM's would the fan produce on the lowest setting on the speed controller?

Better check the rating on the carbon filter itself and adjust the fan CFM to it, there's a minimum speed you shouldn't go below (usually 30%)

filter is 550 CFM, fan is a 6" Vortex. I think it is somewhere around 450 CFM or something.

Was wondering if ya ever thought about flowing all the plants at the same time, or running 1 starin at a time, because i reckon that cab could harvest a decent amount it it was all done at once ...not just a plant here n there all at different heights n stages.

i think doing this will have much more of an effect on yield than worring about cmfs in fans n stuff with a cab that small

Yes you are right pisspotgrower. I often have the same idea...

A monocrop would be ideal but it's so hard to pick just one strain! This is the reason I have so many different ones at all times... I have been trying to pick the right strain for a monocrop for a while. After this round is done, it really is time to monocrop. I need to stop messing around and pull down some real weight...

Thanks everyone, here is a little update. We are going Vert now! Which means I think I might have to start a new thread...

Here is a pic of what the cab looks like as of this morning...

There are two males and a little empty space in there... I hope to have it fully occupied with the males outta there within the next 2 weeks
