So here goes my first grow show :gulp:

The space is a Jardin secret DS60 grow tent (60x60x120cm approx 2x2x4.5ft)

I've not used this tent for anything other than propagation in the past but since I wanted to try a small scale auto sog before loading the big tent It seemed Ideal!

For lighting I have a 125w warm white CFL with cheap open ended reflector.

Initially I did have a cool white 2x55w PLL lamp on the plants but the footprint was not as good as it is with the larger open ended reflector so I switched.

I may add the PLL for part / all of flowering, but it means using a smaller reflector on the warm white light and higher temps.

As for ventilation I have none at present temp is only around 18c-19c lights on though.

The strains are 2X vision seeds ak49 (femmed) and 7X FON (f9 of Auto AK47 x original haze) this strain is 100% Auto but have been told there is some variation between phenotypes.

So basically it's a 9 plant (3x3) SOG, the male FONs will be pulled and
replaced with females as the grow progresses.

Think of this as a prelude for the 36 plant 4x4 auto sog I will be starting shortly.

The plants are in plain peat based compost and have been on rhizo,formulex and superthrive so far.

The plants are around 2 weeks old and have just been potted up into 10L containers, The lack of haste on my part when it came to transplanting has caused the plants to become a bit rootbound in the previous containers and this never dose autos any good.

hey dude!!

the FoN is without a doubt the best auto I've ever grown for quality. very spindly plants, but the 2 that made it had these AWESOME 1/4 ounce dry single cola's of such incredible weed. Pure tropical fruit that you can't get your nose out of and totally followed through on flavour. It also makes you stoned

The ch@ppers lines I've grown, though, are WAY better in health and yield, with good bud and yields up to an oz dry, but more like 1/4 - 3/4. And makes you stoned too

will enjoy watching the grows and putting in my 2p

Wam hopefully all the plant's will grow / stretch quite uniformly but I can see the FON's are going to be taller than the auto AK's all ready.

I just hope the FON's don't grow too much taller than the AK's during flowering or the little kalashnikovs could end up being left in the dark...literally!

Just a little update

The 125w warm CFL has problems so I am waiting for a new one!

for now the plants are under a 2x55w PLL and to be honest they seem to be liking it more at this stage in there lives, still I will be using a warm white (or maybe both) for flowering.

Temps were getting a little high and humidity was far too high so I have added a 4" bathroom extractor which although a little noisy is doing the job well.

Realistically I would have needed the fan once the plants filled and during flowering anyway.

Anyone know of fan speed controllers for those on a budget, would a dimmer switch work?

Quick update

I sexed 6/7 of the fons and ended up with 3 males, 2 females and 1 unsexed!

I have removed the males and put them outside, I will select the best male and pollinate the best female FON to get some F10 seeds.

One of the FON is either a micro pheno or has been stunted some how, I may throw this one outside too!

So my AF SOG ain't as densely populated as I hoped, Next time I will germ twice as many seeds as I wan't females in the sog.

Still running the PLL until they start flowering properly then I will either use the replacement red CFL they sent or a 150w hps.
