Does everyone understand that cookies came from a hermie?

I've seen some talk the last few days about seeds and hermies from seeds.

Cookies and many other great strains come from hermie love. That is a fact!

Now if you are going to buy seeds from a breeder that used a parent plant that came from a hermie you have no right to bitch if said plant hermies!

Do your research and don't buy hermie prone plants if you're not up to the challenge.

There was recently a bunch of cookie seeds released and anyone that knows a fucking thing about the strains knows that no one has had time to work the cut into a stable strain.

You buy, you take the risk! You didn't know that? Study up!

If you want to wait until the cookie strain has been worked so no hermies will be present, great, your seeds will be ready in a year or two.

For those that will take a chance at being early with the cookie crosses, you take your chances.

I think CVS's cookie herms are attributed to the male he used. Head's Trainwreck BXII was a herm factory. Go look at old grows, most people that grew the TW BXII had nanners galore.

And I don't feel bad for CVS, this is the outcome when you sling untested seeds at high prices. If they were priced for what they were nobody would probably complain, but when you lose over a hundo on hermi crap that might piss ya off.

Nobody else's cookie crosses seem to be herming.

I don't think we should make excuses for seed makers, especially when there seems to be more than one person having the same problem with the same strain.

This reminds me back when fezdog released the sd ibl line, an everyone was getting nanners without stressing the plants... subsequently mad deletion of posts an accounts happened.... can't have bad press for breeders paying the site....

Bottomline CVS= buyer beware, if 1 strain is hermie prone all others in the stable will need to be looked at... if they released that knowing it herms who knows if it or has already happened again....

I never saw a pic of anything to come out of the CV camp that was... that exceptional... or even constantly average... a lot of the stuff I saw that came from CV beans looked like stuff I wouldn't want to waste time and grow space on...

I agree with third though, if you buy hype you will be taken more times than not...

there are vultures waiting for the flesh to rot... if you make yourself available the scavengers will find and feed off you... i.e. produce the substandard cookie seeds and hybrids people seem to want and are willing to pay for.

Smoked a ton of cookies and cookie crosses straight from the cookie fam last weekend. May be from herm, but they are definitely working the line and popping beans and finding other keepers. The real deal cookies is the fire. And I've been saying it is all hype for months... I have to eat my words. Cookie fam and all of their homies are seriously holding it down in the bay. They blessed me with so much free smoked, I had to return with the little piece of my most fire shit I could provide. For the record... Some of the cookies S1s from the original batch of herb they dropped at harborside, is even more fire than the GSC. Cookie Monster and OGKB for the win...

Had someone followed a breeding programme of repeated selfings and critical selection of three or four generations a year , it might be a stable seedline by now , instead of throwing assorted males on it and hopeing for the best.

Without acess to the clone , all i want is viable seed from an S1 of a legitimate clone at a reasonable price , and will select myself from then on.

Chilled all weekend with him and smoked both Cookie Monster and OGKB grown by OGkushman, shit was straight fire. Dude killed it. He's a legend. I'm honored to call such a top notch grower and dude, a friend.

The OGKB was some of the most resinous sh it I've ever seen in my life. Took 12 days to dry, with a dehu running.
