We have had a few inquiries about how we maintain temps in the rooms.
I thought I would post pics of our ac, and what is needed to convert a window ac, into an indoor ac.
We have a 15,000 btu window air conditioner, but you can use any size BTU...the largest we have ever done, is 25,000 btu's.
We use 2 8" flanges, 8"x25' flexible insulated venting, insulated foam board, an 8 inch inline fan, and flex fit tape(silver tape, not foil tape...found in the paint section or venting section at home depot).
On most bigger ac units, you can remove the guts from the shell, by sliding them forward, after removing a few screws...then drill 1/4" hole through the bottom back half of the ac, for water drainage.
Epoxy or flex fit tape a funnel with a hose, to your 1/4" hole drain. Water can then be directed wherever you want....we drilled a hole through the side of our house, and ran the hose outside to drain.
Look through the side of the ac, and see what side the compressor is on...the compressor is black and roughly 4"x6"....this is the side you will need to put your intake on.
Cover the other side of the ac where there is a side vent, with insulated foam board.
Build a box with the insulated foam board, and attach to the flange, and then attach the flange and insulated foam board to the side where the compressor is(our side box is
6"x14"x21", but that is to fit a 15,000 btu)
Build another box, with the insulated foam board, and flange, to attach to the back of the ac(this box must cover the entire back of the ac unit.....our box is 6"x21"x23")
Attach the 8" inline fan, to the box, on the back of the ac, that is blowing out....this is now the exhaust.
Attach a piece of 8" venting to your intake(this is the side box intake).
Now you need to figure out where you want to run the venting, whether you put it in a window, an attic, or lung room......if you put the venting out the window, make sure your outtake is 1 foot higher, than your intake, so you don't suck the heat back in.
We dump our hot air into the attic, but we also have our intake up there, against an eaves vent, to pull in cool air.
We then attach ducting to the front of the ac, to direct our cold air, to our rooms.

lazy gardener, I was lucky enough to get the cut, from a good friend........ I am a strain whore, lol. I have been asked to keep this one close, and I have to respect what the instructions were, when I was given the cut. As for where it is available in seed, you got me? I dunno.

I simply MUST follow your lead on this A/C thing. Still studying the pictures but you explained it very well. I am dealing with crazy high temps in one of my rooms and am pretty much freaking out. I have never had to use A/C before, choosing instead to vent cool air from the basement into the room. Worked like a charm for years. Now things are a bit different and I don't really have the ability to do it that way anymore. So, as much as I don't want to, it's a must that I A/C the room now.

I'm sure I will have more questions as I get to work. Thanks a million Mrs.O for the pics and instructions.

Stunning! Wow, all that blueberry goodness.

Your allegiance to coco has piqued my interest Mrs.O. I have always been a soil junkie. Tried coco one time and blew an entire crop of Chem4. That nightmare is still burned in my brain. But I would like to experiment again. I am paying attention sis.
