6 mil black for dep, neighborhood location but very little nightime light. Are some pinholes ok? How much light is too much. GH size is 14x19+-.

thanks

Any light is too much. If using 6 mil black poly you really need to use two layers of the to totally block out the light.

No bueno....go with what last post says. Or go with real deal blackout material...that is intended for the exact purpose. I choose the latter....

Bro...are you willing to chance it?...and get a seeded depo crop. Get new material or tape up the holes. Pulling cloth is a fair amount of work and dedication...to end up with a sub-par crop b/c of negligence or laziness. You have been properly informed....

Use tape to cover pin holes - u dont want any ligth periode - but i am very anal on that point =)

Last year i had a small beam comming from intake tube and in front was a row off casey jones that hermed i had to pick nanner for 3 weeks everyday 2 houres, they would have seed the whole house. If it had been some off my other strains they would not have hermed but show freak growth

truth? i doubt it matters
ive done 2 light deps, last year. a few holes here and there. ALSO i have had veg room and flower room next to each other, just pulled the door on flower room, and forgot many times, and didnt have ONE hermie. maybe that was luck
consider this, FULL MOON. they happen a lot, like a few days a month, and shine a lot of light. if you live in the city you may not notice, but if you live where it gets DARK on no moon nights, you appriciate the light a moon gives, but it doesnt effect flowers outdoors
so, despite factual evidence, i guess(havent seen it, but the fact of light leaks causing hermies must be based on fact??? or to sell light sealing panda plastic?) i have not seen the holes in light dep or the accidental letting in of bright (t5) lighting to cause hermies
just my 2 cents, probably wrong

I have experience with pin holes in my black /white panda film and never had any problems .
if your strain is stable and your your room is dialled in you shouldn't have any problems .
I used to wonder the same thing cause i all heard what it needs to be total darkness . But then in another post i heard you need to dial in your garden to match outside conditions.
Well the moon light here is brighter then my pinholes in my plastic ... Just my 2 cents
I never had any problems with lights coming through the cracks

It is strain dependant. Some strains like Diesel's, Chem's, and their crosses are very touchy and will herm every time, while others can be pretty tolerant. My Northern Lights is a very forgiving strain for example.
The best advice was above and just not risk it, it's not worth it.

Peace,
KF

I have a light dep going. There is a large Metal Halide yard light within 20-30 feet. I have noticed that it doesn't effect my light dep whatsoever. Still flowering strong!
