So many good topics in this thread...
Owls- Loves me some owls. The sounds they make in the middle of the night have scared me out of a dead sleep before in the woods.

Acid & Peyote- I grow trichocereus cacti of various types. Faster growing than Lophs, but have the same effects.

Dcong- Those plants are huge! Bravo Jeri, Bravo! I've got some outcrosses going at the moment. 4 Chemdd x Dcong(beautiful plants) that are almost done and 6 Dcong x GHP.

I'll come back in a bit and show you some Prune Juice pics.

Slept with...

Slept with...

..the blinds raised...and the curtains pulled open...but even the moon could not keep me awake. At dawn I awoke..had my tea and chia seeds..hips are a bit tight...but man..I'm feeling rested and good.

I'll show you dudes something in calculations..relative to the Dcong F4s

I cleaned up the bottoms/centers of the 2 biggest girls..day 31 of flower..had to...huge leaves everywhere..bushes hoarding light...but that's not the purpose of this conversation..

pointing out the different flower development on the cuts...in the picture. 31 days in...one is budding up to get fat...whilst the other..well..she's not ready yet...thing must grow a couple inches every cycle

* No bullshit...I'm in for a serious battle with (what must be) a heavily Congolese influenced plant. I have her branches tied everywhere...mostly coming in from above...but also ties laterally.. keeping her pulled out of a 1000 hps (her sister..same thing...tied to hell)..which she seems...to have no problem getting up close to...pretty amazing really

I'm being serious when I say...don't know if I have the skill set to land this one. If she packs big flowers...lol...that's going to be a gnarly couple few months....no way this plant goes before 90..if plants go past 30 days without "nugging up"...it's a long haul.

** The two big sisters (not that the 3rd sister is small..she's not I assure you..but very Deep Chunk dominant)....are each taking up the space of 2 plants...and both...would like to have more space

*** I was caught totally off guard...had no idea that these things were going to get vigorous...as they were..lazy and picky...in veg..really didn't like them in veg.

Lost a bunch to ?????....seemed like a serious nutrient issue..went through the check list..implemented proper courses of action...but ended up shit canning a dozen or so plants. And I....

...take that now...as a sign. There would be no way my studio could have handled anymore ultra vigorous plant expressions...or a bunch of 90+ day plants. My god...the plants saved me from them...lol...no shit...that's how I see it

DEEP CONGO F4 = GNARLY...better have your shit wired

As they went to bed...

As they went to bed...

Here's those 2 Dcong girls again...after trim up

^ That's the more mixed (?) expression...she's vigorous but controllable...a big girl but doable...not worried about her

^ her sister..on the other hand...is begging for trouble. I'll give her 2 pix...just because..she needs 2 pix. She wants to fuck me up. Heavily supercropped...heavily tied...otherwise..man...she needs a big hole outdoors....couldn't imagine what that would look like

* Again reference...that's a 100 can filter in the background

** These girls know nothing but...bottom feeding. I try to keep their trays/smart pots wet at all times...but keep the tops (coco) dry. I'm not top feeding anything..anymore. I like bottom feeding better. been flip flopping over that for a few years...but right now..I'll go the way...of the bottom

yup,the gorilla glue is like that, from 2 plants i took off a garbage bag of sucker branches and under screen stuff and it barely slowed them down....been sort of a challenge keeping up with the plants lately...moving towards getting my med card here, that means only 4 plants in flower so i have been going larger and larger on my pot size, have a plant in a 20 gallon smart pot as a proof of concept run,im pretty certain it will be an easy pound plus given that it will have a 1000 hps right over it and a 400w halide closely space on one side and 400 watts of 6400k cfls hanging on the other side...

given that i have 78 watts a sq ft to play with im pretty sure i can switch to 4 plants in 45 gallon smart pots,im thinking an organic planting mix like roots707 since building organic planting mixes is a pita around here since the ingredients go in and out of stock at random intervals and i already know the whole recycled soil thing is a pain as well, and i will recycle it,just into veggie gardens and landscaping which im thinking is a much better way to actually recycle this stuff, put it back in the ground where we took it from to grow some weed for good sake....never understood why the organics people think they are saving the planet having stuff shipped in from all over the planet to be locked away in some dank basement to grow pot...or call it medicine, its still silly white people thinking....rambling,good ride today, climbed well, managed to hold a mouthful of water for 2 miles of mild climbing and just breath through my nose....even better i got my ride in before it was 100 outside!

I'm amazed at the differences in the flower development between those two monsters you have there. The Dcongs have always seemed finicky to me during the first few weeks of veg, after that, they are fine. I wondered if you would put up with them or not ;)
I had intended to run a batch of F2s soon, but you're making hard to resist the Green F4s.

Really appreciate getting to see you rock these bitches :hotbounce

Wow...that's an ambitious garden(s) dude. In big smart pots...with enough light...you can go nuts. 5 gal are about as far as...I'm going. My studio seems ample...until I put big plants in it...then...I'm wondering what the fuck..I'm doing...I barely hang on

Yeah...I'm sick of gardening at the moment. Need a break from my plants...haven't updated my other thread lately...but I have veggies everywhere...can't seem to stay clean...I'm filthy all the time

I'm going to go put in some garage time....fire up and work on my ride...endless amounts of work to do there...money comes and goes quick

Going to take my run in the evening...I'll be out for the sunset...and the rising of the moon.

* I train to nose breathe...one of those important things...keeps you calmer..more centered..and keeps your mouth wet...

well...in theory...nose breathing is a test in conditioning. Hard to push and breathe only...out the nose. When I'm hauling...my mouth opens

Them damn plants didn't put up with me...in veg. That's about the time I started losing seedlings too....it was a dark period...killed off Pablos over that shit...motherfucker was messing me up

The greens dude...that's where my money is....I'm looking for the Congo...always have been lol

* me? I'm thinking about the DD Dcong .....now that I see a better picture. can't thank you enough LG....but thanks again

same thing on a bicycle,if you're in the correct gear for the speed you want to maintain and "on top" of the gear pedaling at a comfortable cadence and in good form your conditioning at some point will allow you to sustain a decently high but very consistent output...right now i can sustain about 200 watts of output for 3 hours or so before i start needing calories which is something ive not yet mastered as far as on bike refueling which will become a bit more important as i start touring....but on the other hand im not going to be racing anywhere with a 50 lb load so no point in not getting off the bike and resting while you fuel up i suppose....i get so used to riding the road bike and having that time trail sort of mentality where i just always want to go fast...but really no point in having a lightweight road screamer and not go fast right?

Hell yes...the machine was running mean today. $30 worth of gas..$6 for octane booster...adjusted the psi (turned it down) on the electric fuel pump regulator...wrapped a new heat shield over the starter...tightened up some nuts and bolts (a must do regiment)....love when nothing breaks and everything stays in adjustment

I love gardening...nature...and all that....but there's another side of me...that loves american muscle and all that goes with it. Nothing smells like a performance V8....nothing. All I have to do...is hear someone unleashing some ponies...hear that exhaust...or smell those heated fumes....and my attention is grabbed

There's a lot of sick ass rides around my area....I'd say every 5th garage..has something under a cover in it. There's an old stingray (66 or 67) rolling around...every time I hear it...I fall in love. I'm going to track that dude down...next time I hear it...I have to go for a ride in that thing. I LOVE those old Vettes...it's the only ride around here...that I would take over my own. Just so beautiful...those sexy lines

Nothing wrong with going fast...lol..totally understand. Some things are built for speed.

I'd like to know....will be researching...what foods best replenish endorphins. I'd like to make sure...I'm building lots more of those.

Holy shit...I have cloud cover...what??? where'd that come from? I'm heading out onto the trails...soon as we near sunset.

endorphins? i bet its going to be sugar....lol,one thing i noticed in that doc i was talking about was seeing the cyclist eating stuff like hostess "fruit" pies with coffee grounds sprinkled on it or those mornings when they're in a town watching them totally scarf breakfast, like plates of food, serious carbo loading....nothing like burning 5-6000 calories in a day,at that point you can pretty much inject mayonnaise right into your veins when your metabolism is that jacked up...

Raced the Sunset

Raced the Sunset

Went out the front door and worked my way into the trail system once again...didn't linger long though...opened up the throttle and raced for 6 miles...the last mile on pavement.

My mind is on the wheels again. I know you dudes out there...don't much care about this fascination...I have...with my trail shoes..and I totally understand that...but..it's something that is relevant to form...so I'm documenting it..for purity sake

I dig these shoes...can really roll in them. From my notebook..they now have a total of 91 miles on them. Uppers are starting to break in..and maybe separate a little..and the tread of the sole is chunking off on the forefoot/balls of feet...where my feet make their most contact. Will they be worth a shit with 200 more miles on them? I'd say............no way....I'll be getting another pair

* I study my tread like I would study any other track. My feet have changed over the last few years. I'll credit...the minimalist approach to shoes..and style of running...as being the reason. my whole body has gotten remarkably stronger. I can go back over old shoes...and the treads read like a book...how and when the transitions happened

I've studied my shoes..consciously made adjustments to my style (an example: I run more pigeon toe on trails..to keep a narrower line..and not hang up on rocks...following the big toe. Used to be...I ran more duck foot...toes out)....decidedly dug for specific muscles to build up...lot of visualizing how the mechanics should work

** I believe the heels of the feet should never hit the ground..when you are running (unless braking down hill). One look at the design of the human foot will show you why I believe this. There are many intertwining/interlocking/flexible suspension minded bones in the front part of the foot.

But..look at the back of the foot...the heel..it's made up of just one solid/non flexible bone (I think)...nothing more than a balance rudder....for standing. Heel striking in running...is a man made manipulation. Manipulated by padding heels....that's one truth

Running trails...hot rodding...gardening....diet.........

remember Kowalski hammering on that Challenger...lost out there...in the desert?????? Beans son...lots of beans

I find the shoe stuff interesting. Started wearing a pair of Minimus shoes a few months back in part because of your posts on the subject. The benefits have been shocking, feet and legs are stronger and I can't stand traditional shoes anymore.

Yup...recognize the Prune Juice...some of them have that distinctive flower structure (I think it's a Purple Urkle-like structure)....kind of a shallow cross...as it was a 1 on 1 mating to make the IX1 beans. There's some good flavors in their..and the high works for some...but not really for me. Plants are too slow as well..imo. I have shit loads of IX2 beans now...using multiple parents (6 females and 2 males)...maybe those will help open things up...can be pretty ornamental..good stuff in there

The DDDcong (DDDcong...love that..killer name option there)....those look like my cup of tea. On my list now to germinate..do me some Mox Mox IX1, Hell Hound IX1, and get the DDDcong in there somewhere. That would be a sick session. I'm very interested in seeing your results...want to see how much of the DD shows up

* cool on the shoes. No doubt...I'm either barefoot, or wearing flip flops (locally made from inner tube, hemp, and tire tread), or an old pair of Merrell trail gloves. Boots and such..feel really wrong now.

Day 8

Day 8

Put in over 7 miles on a steep and tight trail. Feeling worn down today...ran well...just not crisp

* steep downhills...I view from a board sport perspective...especially when the trail dives down into a snake run...with boulders to launch off..bank off..and walls of decomposing granite set up like ocean waves or pool walls...instantly want to do lay backs...trying to get my feet on the wall...up over my hips

using the insides and outsides of the tread...as rails...sometimes going in soft...sometimes driving them...to the point of breaking loose...that thin line between being in control of things...or wiping out into fray...that's where shit happens anyway

** often...after a hard pushing climb...I'll plateau out...and get down and do a set of push ups...immediately...as I find it forces me to get a hold of my breathing...get present..get a hold of myself. It's amazing how much of an...upper body work out..I get from busting up trails.

Everything comes from core strength. When running...it's all getting worked...though you may not..feel it...like say...lifting weights..it's a different kind of use...powered by body balance. Busting out push ups to recover....is to add icing on the cake..a set after every hard climb (or whenever I feel I'm lagging)....adds up...the longer the run..taxes the energy

*** Coming into tight and steep uphill hair pin switchbacks...I like to take the tightest inside turn I can...as this usually brings me almost to a stop...and I have to lean back and use all the torque I possess to push through gravity. True testing of torque. It can be a heartbreaker...when exhausted...and the torque is..just is not there. I can feel the power...literally..drain out of my body....and then...have to work through that

**** I'm delirious...gone through 32 oz of organic maple syrup in 5 days..my body craves it...and I'm letting myself have it. I'm not eating as much solid food....but constantly sipping tea with chia seeds, lemon juice, and maple syrup (honey sometimes as well)

Had to restock today...I'm thinking I'll be needing more of the same..for this next stretch

***** Until today...I'd never run more than a week of consecutive runs
